SPITFIRE came to Springfield, Illinois for another night of fantastic wrestling. Manchester Black and Alexander Wright opened the show and stated that they are now a team called EXCELLENCE. Black said that he will take the Heritage title tonight and then he and Alexander will win the Tag Team titles too. Alexander then added the catchphrase and said "Future isn't black and white, it's Black and Wright."
1) Alexander Wright def. Marshall Compton at 5:11
This was a rather quick match which saw Wright get his first victory in SPITFIRE ring. It looked that Marshall has the match won when he went upstairs for his Swanton Bomb finisher, but Alexander was playing possum, pushed him off the buckles and then dropped him with Gentleman's Brainbuster on the ring apron. If that wasn't enough, he tied him up in Imperfect Harmonies and get the tapout victory over the young Compton native.
2) Lillith Morgan def. Scarlett at 5:18
In a shocking turn of events, the First Diva of CK Money, Scarlett appeared on the show and said she was the premiere vixen of pro wrestling. This led to former SOH Womens Champion-and wife of Chicago's Finest, John Pariah-Lillith Morgan stepped out from the curtain, and took the Hood Diva to school. Lillith won the match in a little over five minutes with a Scorpion Cross Lock Submission, officially returning to active competition after her miscarriage in May.
3) Ryo Unikawa def. Darrell Kashmere at 9:44
Unikawa, coming off a loss to Derrick Wiland, was looking to reestablish himself, and he did just that. "Dr. Kaimetsu" ruled the opening minutes of the match with a well blended mix of technical wrestling and more risky hard hitting maneuvers. Kashmere got his break when Ryo was going for the Uni-Cutter and Darrell pushed him away. He began some vicious attacks on the head of the second generation puro star, but when he wanted to finish it with Murder Maker, Unikawa escaped from his shoulders and turned it into a Frankensteiner, countering beautifully. Kaimetsu Kick then got the job done and Unikawa celebrated a victory.
4) Proving Grounds Match: Two Men Army w/ Garth Lannister def. Team Wade at 14:56 to earn a SPITFIRE Tag Team title shot
Tag team match extraordinaire got the crowd going, but was stained with underhanded tactics unfortunately. Near the end of the match, all hell broke loose ass all four men were in the ring at once following the situation where Riker was trying to hold Syco's tights in a rollup, which angered Merc. The champions were just getting the upper hand when Garth Lannister took advantage of the chaos and Warrfare taking the attention of the referee and hit Syco in the head with his stick. As Syco was knocked out, Merc was alone in the battlefield against two brutal individuals and fell victim to TMA's destructive Bullet With a Name finisher. Riker, Warrfare and Garth Lannister celebrated in the ring with the typical "belts around the waist" pose, knowing that a title shot is awaiting them in close future.
5) "O.P.M." Jackson Davis def. Manchester Black at 16:22 to become the first SPITFIRE Heritage Champion
Alexander Wright did his best to interfere in this match and secure his tag team partner some championship glory. However, Davis was too powerful for both EXCELLENCE members, as he laid Wright out with a Chokeslam out of the ring and then hit the OP-Bomb II on Black for the pinfall... but Manchester kicked out! Few minutes later, the Englishman got the upper hand and decided to hit a trifecta of Fisherman Suplexes instead of just one. Davis, however, broke out of the hold after the second Suplex and dropped Manchester with a Death Valley Bomb and OP-Bomb I for the pin and the win. Richard Page presented him the belt and also said that the first defense will come July 11th in a triple threat against Ryo Unikawa and Marshall Compton.
6) Ricky Ian Pearce def. Derrick Wiland at 24:15 to become the number one contender for SPITFIRE Championship
It was a hard hitting battle that ended with the crowd on their feet and both competitors bruised and battered. Wiland showed Ricky that the tricks he's learned in Japan can do a lot of damage, especially when the crowd went "Holy Shit" after a brutal Backdrop Driver on the apron. Ricky kicked out at 2.9 after that and Wiland was in shock and so was the crowd. Derrick went for a Phoenix Splash to end it all, but Pearce blocked it with his knees and rolled him up, but Derrick had one surprise kickout up his sleeve too. Ricky went for Rest In Pearce, but Wiland dodged it and hit the Black Hole Driller, but RIP rolled out of the ring. It took a while for Wiland to roll him back in the ring, where he went for another Phoenix Splash, but Ricky put the knees up yet again, then added his Midnight Crisis Leg Lariat and RTO for the tapout win.
After the match, both Ricky and Derrick shook hands and Pearce put Wiland over on the mic, saying that at 20 years of age, Derrick is already a fantastic wrestler and is sure to be a champion soon.
7) No DQ Grudge Match: Mikal Drakin and James Silkk fought to a no contest at 18:00
There was no love lost between those men, so it was no surprise the match was nothing short of brutal. The match saw Silkk get Powerbombed into a huge pile of thumbtacks and Drakin get driven head first onto two open chairs with James' Dream Killer, but both men survived that. They took the fight outside the ring too and that was where it ended when Mikal Drakin speared James Silkk through the barricade and both men were declared to be knocked out. Trainers helped both Silkk and Drakin to the back.
Richard Page announced that the next show is going to be in Berwyn, Illinois on July 11th, main evented by a Fatal Four Way SPITFIRE Championship defence - winner of Stryker/Rhodes will defend against the number one contender Ricky Ian Pearce and both James Silkk and Mikal Drakin!
8) Adam Stryker def. Christian Rhodes at 13:12 to retain his SPITFIRE Championship
The crowd was split 50/50 in supporting these men, and there were even some "C-4" chants from the fans who remembered Stryker and Rhodes as the PWX World Tag Team Champions. Rhodes was trying to soften up Stryker's neck, preparing him for Rhode Construction submission, but Adam cut his offense off with a Definition of Mayhem and a nearfall. He controlled the match for a while, until Rhodes elbowed his way out of Free Bearhugs! and hit the Long Rhode Home Superkick. He was then going for a Schoolboy, but Stryker rolled through and hit Clouds Over California and then locked in Shallow End for the tapout win.
After the match, both men shook hands and Stryker got on the mic. He thanked the fans for attending the event and said he hopes everyone will come to witness a historic event in Berwyn next month.
