Camera opens to Johnny Ajax, standing in front of a mirror, putting on a suit. His pants, unbuckled, as he begins to button up his shirt. The curtains are closed in the quaint little hotel room in Nova Scotia.
Ajax: Today, I get the honor to watch my brother, Declan Black get married to the woman who makes him the happiest in life. His hometown, his neighborhood, his soon to be wife. Everything is beautiful today. I would wish nothing less on you, Declan. You deserve nothing but the best on your special day.
Ajax finishes buttoning and latches his belt in and ensures his shirt is completely tucked in. He puts his tie around his collar and attempts to try and tie it.
Today.... Today is your day Declan. Everyone here will be celebrating you and Leigh's love today. It's going to be perfect in every way. Saturday though? Saturday is a completely different story. The eyes of the world won't be on you and Leigh, they'll be on you and I, Declan.
Toyota Park, Chicago, Illinois. Title for Title. Declan, you and I will make history together, in what could possibly go down as the biggest match, not just in 2CW history, but in Professional Wrestling history! Even though the arena, is home to an inferior soccer team, it will be home to my crowning moment, thus far in my career: Where I become the world Champion. I become the Alpha.
As Ajax finishes his sentence, a door opens, then closes out of frame.
Katherine Kensington (Off Screen) : Darling, how do I look?
Ajax turns around, and camera cuts to Katherine in a stunning, black and white dress.
Katherine: Do you like it? I think it looks marvelous!
Ajax: You look absolutely stunning honey!
Katherine: Oh John... Did your father ever teach you how to put together a tie? Come here, darling.
Katherine puts the tie together correctly in seconds.
Ajax: Thank you dear, ties are a little weird, where I come from.
The two kiss, as Katherine heads over by a mirror to do her makeup.
Ajax: Today, is your day, Declan. I will not do anything to prevent that, and I will stop anyone who tries to take that away from you. But this Saturday? That is my day. I will unify the titles, to become the true World Champion!
A text message tone goes off in the background.
Katherine: (Sigh) Sasha Foote has tweeted about you again..
Ajax: Oh well. I'm done with her right now. I'm too focused on you!
Johnny walks over to Katherine. The two kiss as Camera fades to a wrapped gift on the table.

Camera opens to Johnny Ajax, sitting in the locker room at the New Mid-Atlantic Sportatorium , sweaty, and in full gear , after his tag team match in Lion's Den FC with Katherine. He's holding the 2CW Heritage championship in his lap.
Johnny: Ever since this match was announced for "Youth Gone Wild" I've had to do all sorts of press junkets, twitter questions, even an AMA. The one question that continues to get brought up over and over again is: "What will happen to the Heritage Championship, after this match is over?" And I'm ashamed to say that everytime, the answer is: "Officially? I dont know..."
My uncertainty is caused by a few things. First is simply, I don't know what John Oleson has planned for this title after this coming Saturday. I don't know if it'll be absorbed into the new World Championship. If I will have to defend both titles, or will I be forced to relinquish the title that I have brought into prominence?
What happens if Declan wins? And yes, I know many will people will think it's odd that I'm admitting that's a possibility, but I'm not an idiot. Declan didn't win, and more importantly, retain the 2CW championship on a fluke. He is definitely the top dog, and he's earned the right to be the top guy. But what pisses me off, is the fact that he calls this title, and it's current champion, "Second class" and "beneath him". So if in fact, Declan does win this match, will he just drop the title? Will he even acknowledge himself as Heritage Champion? Who knows? But I hope he recognizes the fact the this title, and the man who holds it, are the biggest threat he has ever faced. His own brother, will be the one to dethrone him.
I have brought this championship to prominence. I am the true Champion of the Second City. Everyone else in Chicago knows this. On Saturday, Declan Black will learn to bow to the King of Roses.
The locker room door opens in the background. Camera turns to reveal Katherine, still in her gear, has just came through the door, crying.
Ajax: Katherine! What's going on?
Katherine: I cost us the match... I'm the reason we lost....
Ajax walks over to Katherine, holds her and kisses her forehead.
Ajax (To the cameramen) Guys. Out.
He signals to the door, and the camera whips around to the door.
Ajax: Honey, it's ok. We tried our best, and I'm so proud of you.
Camera fades to the sounds of Kensington sobbing, as the crew leaves the locker room.

*Declan Black is sitting down in a small room, just concrete and white walls, filming this himself, obviously. As the camera weaves up to him, we can see a much different 2CW Champion than the man who faced Grayson Shaw only a few days ago. Declan's stubble has come in, but the real change is on his left hand-his wedding band. He's wearing only a Michigan State football jersey (that of Connor Cook) and black Nike track pants and running shoes. It is with a bright smile and a blithe tone he speaks:...*
First, I want to thank everybody who made July 6th such a special day for my wife and myself. I really hope that it was special for all of you, too. Now, as I talk to you right now, it's about 8 AM, and I'm in a lighthouse here on the coast of Prince Edward Island, just out for a run, actually, before I stopped to film this. I've very much enjoyed my honeymoon here, and my few days off from beating guys up, and cutting promos telling guys how I'm going to beat them up.
But hey, back to business. Because on July 11th, I enter one of the biggest matches of my life with Heritage Champion Johnny Ajax. And between the two of us, there's going to be crowned the first ever 2CW World Heavyweight Champion. The 2CW Heavyweight Champion against the 2CW Heritage Champion. It's telling that the poster for this show doesn't feature either of us. It primarily features our victims in defending our titles. You sent Ian Wright packing and you beat James Slikk...and I sent Jack Owyns packing and beat Grayson Shaw. Yeah, we've gone through a lot to be here.
But you see, Johnny...I stand by calling the Heritage Championship a secondary title. Never did I say it was “beneath me”, and it's beneath you to make such accusations. But it is secondary. What I hold is the 2CW Heavyweight Championship. The top title. The thing you work and strive for your entire career. What you hold is a stepping stone to what I hold. There aren't two top champions, there's not 1a and 1b. It's 1 and 2. I'm number one. You're number two. I've defended my title longer than yours has been active. I've set records with the top belt in this company. I am unquestionably the number one man in this company, period.
On July 11th, I enter uncharted territory. I put the 2CW Heavyweight Championship on the line for the fourth time. If I win, I will forever own the defense and length records for that title, in addition to being the first 2CW World Heavyweight Champion. And Johnny, it's finally your chance to prove you belong in the main event. You'd better be at your best. Better than you've ever been. Because anything short of that? You'll be just another line on my records.
*Declan stares meaningfully into the camera as we fade to black.*

Johnny Ajax and I are friends. But we're in no way similar. And you don't have to look very hard at our lives to see that. I'm all about the nicest suits, the best cars, the million dollar houses. Johnny is this very down to earth, regular guy. Does that make him or me better? I don't really think so, but maybe I'm more the world champion in the traditional sense. I look the part, I do the media, I'm the featured guy. When John Pariah goes down due to injury, who takes as many of his classes at ICONIC Academy as he can while a permanent solution is found? Declan Black.
I've always been very compulsively in control. I need to control things in my life, and I think it speaks to my maturity that I'm the one who steps up and does that. My house in Sydney? I sat down with a team and custom-designed it. Everything in that place is the way it is because I made it that way. My cars, my boats, everything I own was my choice, customised for me. I even exhibit control in my relationship. While I don't really want to get into the details of what that entails, because this isn't the forum for that, my wife and my girlfriend don't tell me what to do. I'm a mature adult, and I control every aspect of my life down to the last point. Some might call me a micro-manager. I just know what I want, and I know how to go about getting it.
Johnny just isn't that. I'm never going to say bad things about Katherine Kensington, because she's an ex and a friend, and she means a great deal to me. I'm happy that Johnny's been able to make her happy. But I would never let her, or anybody else, censor me in my own promo, or tell me what to do in any form or fashion. I run my life on my own, and I fervently feel that any world champion should. Matches-I mean, I make half the matches I get. I go out and challenge people. I'm tied for the most title defenses of any 2CW Heavyweight Champion, and I'm closing in on a year undefeated in singles competition. I called Grayson Shaw out. I called Jack Owyns out. I called Marisol Hawkes out. I'm on top of my competition. Johnny just sits and he waits for the card, and he wrestles who he's told. I feel like that's unbefitting of a world champion.
I love Johnny like a brother. Please don't doubt that. But he simply isn't ready yet to take on the responsibility that being World Champion entails. And that's why, on July 11th, I have to defeat him, and etch my name in the history books as the first Second City Wrestling World Heavyweight Champion. And that's why I will.

Camera opens behind Johnny Ajax, who is staring out of the window of his hotel room in Chicago.
Ajax: I feel the need to do this before every match. Take a look and just grasp the situation of what im about to do, but this time, It's not as simple as open the curtains, take a look, deep breath, and walk away. The whole plot of what's about to transpire tomorrow night is finally hitting me. The biggest match in Chicago wrestling history, Declan Black vs Johnny Ajax, winner takes all.
Am I ready for this? Declan Black has been in so many of these big matches, just within this company alone. "Black vs Owyns" was the headline of REvolution: 001. But wait... What was the main event of that show...? Oh yeah! Thats the show where I helped steal the main from Declan and Jack, the highest rated match in 2CW history, Heritage Classic II.
"But Declan Black is the most watched champion in Second City History!" Well.. Him and Grayson Shaw was the most watched episode of REdefine... until last week, when Ajax/Foote III brought in the highest Nielsen ratings, and the most YouTube views, nearly twice as many as Black vs Shaw. So I have you beat there as well.
I will apologize for putting words in your mouth, though, Declan. You never did directly say that the Heritage Championship is "Beneath You." I guess I was just interpreting how smug you get, sometimes, when you talk about me, and my title. We're brothers heading into this match, and I know we'll be brothers coming out of it. bulletSCARS isn't going to die because of this, no matter how much the message board marks want it to. But Declan, I always saw bulletSCARS as everyone is equal. No one brother above another. But it appears you feel you're better than John, Brock, Jason, Al, Prince, Katherine, Lillith, and myself. Well I have a simple question Declan: When you lose tomorrow night, who's going to be on top of the group? You? Your argument will be nothing at that point. You won't be champion. Me? No. I'm not above anyone in our group.
When I win tomorrow, Declan, bulletSCARS will be as it should, equal. When I win, tomorrow, I'll prove to you what everyone else saw in the Heritage Classic. I'll prove to you what everyone knew heading into Ajax/Foote III. I'm not just ready for the Main Event, Declan.
I AM the main event.
Camera looks out the window to the Chicago Skyline and fades to black.

Everybody likes underdogs.
I mean, they're a seasoned trope, right? Everybody loves and remembers a great underdog story. Daniel-san beating Johnny Lawrence's ass with the crane kick in The Karate Kid. Rocky going the distance with Apollo Creed in Rocky I, and beating his ass in Rocky II. Pee Wee finally losing his virginity in Porky's. All great stories of unlikely heroes overcoming the odds to experience victory.
But you know movies aren't real, right? It's all staged, acted. It's written that way by some overpaid idiot who's financing his coke habit by marketing the adoring public some candy to suck on, by dangling a little closer the carrot that you too, you overweight slob with your gut hanging out of your shirt, could be a hero. You've just got to have enough pluck and determination. You've just got to believe in yourself. Do the right thing. Say your prayers, eat your vitamins, and drink your milk.
Underdogs, in real life, are more like the eternal “almost”. They “almost” got there. They “almost” won that big prize. But you know what? In real life, champions don't get there by accident. Champions are there because they're the best at what they do. They have talent, innate ability that they were born with, and those stories never seem to find their way to our screens or our pages. Because they reinforce a nightmare that we all share. That everybody, in the back of their head, knows to be true, but begs, pleads, to be false just this once. And that nightmare is that the world really isn't fair after all.
All that praying to Jeebus, all that doing the right thing, every great moral thing that society says makes you a better person...it all amounts to nothing. So those people are reduced to feebly bleating against those who couldn't care less about “morals”. They scream for an underdog to knock off that bad guy at the top. After all, society needs a smiling face to dangle that carrot in front of them.
Just like you, Johnny. A good guy. Nice person. Does the right things. And while I'm not the bad guy here, Johnny, I recognize what people want. That's how I made myself rich...well, richer than my inheritance made me. As much as I'm a pretty popular champion, I'm the guy people want to see fall, if only just once.
But in the real world, I'm not going to fall on July 11th. I will permanently etch my name at the top of the 2CW hierarchy. The greatest 2CW Heavyweight Champion ever. Holder of every record having to do with that belt. And the first ever 2CW World Heavyweight Champion. I care about you as a brother, Johnny, but the time has come where I have to put that aside.
If you're expecting an underdog win on July 11th, don't bring popcorn. Bring tissues. You're going to need them.
