The head trainer of ICONIC Academy, John Pariah, opened the first free show of the academy and welcomed the fans. There were about 150 people in the crowd.
The crowd showed huge appreciation for Pariah and his family, who came to the show even after the tragic fire at their house.
Match One
ICONIC Academy Tag Team Championship (vacant): Two Men Army (Warrfare, Riker) vs. CK Money (Darrell Kashmere, Cameron Capone) vs. Future Factor (Bryan Kross, Christian Rhodes)
Rhodes and Kross were the favorites going into this one, but things certainly didn’t go their way. They teamed up with CK Money to even the powers against the dominant powerhouse duo that is Two Men Army, as they got them out of the ring around the five minute mark, but then had to wrestle against each other to eventually get the first official elimination. Future Factor were close to it, but Darrell Kashmere dodged a Superkick by Kross, which accidentaly caught Christian Rhodes flush on the jaw. Bryan Kross was so shocked by his mistake that he never saw Kashmere coming, as one half of CK Money hit him with his signature Kash Is King kick and pinned him, eliminating Future Factor. Just minutes later, however, Kashmere himself was the victim, as Warrfare brutalised him with a Powerbomb onto the ring apron. As Kashmere’s tag partner Cameron Capone was all alone in the ring, he ate the Buzzkiller Lariat by Riker, and then the Two Men Army’s Countdown To Extinction double team finisher before getting pinned.
After the match, Riker took the microphone and said that even if their mentor “The Cult” Garth Lannister isn’t around anymore, they are even more dominant than they were under his wings.
Match Two
Mikey Palmer vs. Samuel Crowe
The anger boiling in Samuel Crowe was put on display early, as he attacked the young Mikey Palmer before the match started, just when Palmer was making his way to the ring. Crowe put the boots to Palmer outside the ring, only occasionally rolling into the ring and back to break the ref’s count. After several minutes of enduring the punishment, the athletic youngster finally found a break, amazing the crowd as he dove from the apron towards Crowe, dropping him with a Tornado DDT. Mikey rolled into the ring and ref started the count, but Samuel made it back in at the count of nine. Palmer continued to work the head and neck for a short while, before his running attack was cut short with a Black Hole Slam for a 2 count. Crowe put his opponent in the position for the Crucifix Powerbomb, but Palmer slid out behind him, pushed the dark master into the turnbuckles and then rolled him up with a Schoolboy to steal the pin and the win. His celebration didn’t last long, however, as Crowe promptly attacked him. Palmer’s friend and Academy Championship contender Magnus Berg came out for the save, but the new tag champions Two Men Army returned to the ring to tip the odds back to Crowe’s side, attacking Berg and hitting him with the Countdown to Extinction outside the ring. Crowe left the scene alongside the tag team champions as the medical staff was helping Magnus Berg and Mikey Palmer.
Bryan Kross and Christian Rhodes returned to the ring, stating that the accident in the tag title match means nothing and they will eventually come back for the titles.
Match Three
Lillith Morgan vs. Angelika Levy (w/ Shawn Star) vs. Mia Abbott
Lillith Morgan, the trainer of the female wrestlers in ICONIC Academy, was in control from the start of the matchup. Angelika Levy, Lillith’s oponent from the pre-show of the latest REvolution, decided to get out of the ring early and just sit back and watch alongside her boyfriend. Morgan wrestled the Canadian youngster Mia Abbott in a game of many counters and reversals, until Abbott finally caught her off guard and managed to lock in the Sharpshooter. Levy promptly returned to the ring, Superkicking Mia, preventing her from winning the match via submission. Levy put the boots to both of her opponents, but Lillith broke her pinning attempt after Angelika dropped Mia with a Cradle DDT. Abbott rolled out of the ring and Morgan and Levy got into it, with Lillith eventually getting the upper hand. She hit Angelika with a Sitout Facebuster, then signalled for The Queen Reigns Supreme, but Angelika grabbed a hold of the referee and dragged him to her, allowing Shawn Star to sneak into the ring and hit Lillith with his Money Maker kick behind the ref’s back. Angelika then just covered Lillith to get the win.
Angelika and Shawn ran to the back and Mia checked on Lillith, then helped her walk backstage. John Pariah got into the ring again, this time with Magnus Berg, announcing that Magnus is not in condition for his title match after the attack at the hands of Two Men Army and Samuel Crowe. These words brought out Drakin, the Academy Champion, who said he came to fight and that’s exactly what he intends to do in the main event. Drakin then insulted Berg, calling him too weak to challenge a real man for a championship, which led to The Swedish Sensation snatching the microphone from him and saying he will indeed wrestle in the main event. Drakin walked away with a smile as Berg assured Pariah that he will be okay.
Match Four
Shawn Star vs. Matt Harrow
After his entrance, Star cut a promo, saying he sent his girlfriend home so she is safe from a possible revenge from Lillith Morgan, much to the dismay of the crowd. He then said he knows he can beat Matt Harrow by himself, which eventually brought Harrow out for the actual match. Star held his own against the former NCAA wrestler as the two put on a technical clinic. At the six minute mark, however, Star poked the eye of his opponent when the referee wasn’t looking, gaining an unfair advantage. He continued to pick Harrow apart, getting a nearfall after hitting Hollywood Hills. He went to the top rope to hit the Shooting BaSTARd Press, but Harrow blocked it with his knees, then quickly got up to hit Star with a brutal Jobber Clobber to get a nearfall. Harrow worked on the legs of Shawn, setting up for his submission finisher, but Star then slipped away from his hold and rolled out of the ring. As Matt chased after him, Star pushed him to the ringpost, then rolled him into the ring and got a two count. Star signalled for the Money Maker, but Harrow ducked, dodging the Spinning Kick, making Star to fall flat on the mat. Harrow wasted no time as he leaped into the air and connected with a brutal Double Stomp. He got a 2 count off that, and immediately hit Star with the brutal Protocol 10 into the turnbuckles and transitioned into the painful Harrow Deathlock to ultimately get the tapout win.
After the match, Harrow offered his opponent a handshake, but Star left without accepting it.
Match Five
ICONIC Academy Championship: Drakin © vs. Magnus Berg
The injured challenger wasted no time, trying to beat the dominant champion quickly with high flying moves, trying to outpace the large man. He was successful for a part of the match, but after several nearfalls, the nervous and angered Drakin managed to cut Berg’s offense off with a brutal Lariat. Instead of going for the pin, he went on to brutalise his challenger, repeatedly telling the referee to ask Magnus if he wants to give up. Halfway through the match, Samuel Crowe and Two Men Army came out to watch the match, but it didn’t distract Drakin one bit as he hit a huge Spear on The Swedish Sensation. Berg showed fighting spirit as he managed to grab the ropes during the pinfall, saving the match for himself. Drakin put him on his shoulders for No Remorse, but Magnus slid out and managed to hit a huge Reverse Rana, spiking the champion on his head. Despite his injured back, Magnus climbed the ropes for the Shooting Star Press, but Drakin rolled out of the way and Berg hit the canvas hard. As he got up, Drakin struck him with another brutal Spear and then hit No Remorse for the exclamation point and the three count.
Ring crew helped Berg to the back as Crowe, Warrfare and Riker confronted the champion. Crowe offered Drakin the final spot in their new group they call The Days of Doom, but the champ just smiled and ironically said that he doesn’t work well in groups before leaving the ring and leaving The Days of Doom disatisfied.
The crowd showed huge appreciation for Pariah and his family, who came to the show even after the tragic fire at their house.
