"So that's how this works now? We can come and go as we please?
You made your triumphant return at the final Redefine on WGN and the fans welcomed you back with open arms Nighthawk. They have forgiven you for 'seeking challenges elsewhere' as you put it. They forgot that you left them, forgot that you valued 'someplace else' more than here, and don't get upset at me, these words are directly out of your mouth. Now, you return with the promise that you won't leave again? Let's see how long that lasts.
Before you interpret my words as those of disrespect, let me ask you to think about this. I've been here for a few months now, busting my ass, recording more promotion videos than anyone, beating current and former champions, and we get this huge Pay Per View event, and I'm sure I've worked enough to get a match with one of Anzac's best. Afterall, I'm one of the premiere faces of Redefine and I want to represent our brand and prove that I'm one of the best in the world. Instead, I get put into a match with someone who thought someplace else was better than Redefine. You aren't Anzac, and to me, you aren't Redefine, you're an outsider.
I know you're a former PWX World Champion, and I respect that, but if you expect to be accepted back into the locker room of Redefine with open arms, you've got another thing coming. I'm willing to bet that as soon as I defeat you in a week, that promise you made to the fans about never leaving will be broken. I challenge you to prove me wrong, and yes, that's a challenge HERE, not 'somewhere else'.
Why am I so confident? Look at what I've done Nighthawk. Pariah and Ajax represent two of the cornerstones of this company, much like you're hyped up to be, and I've beaten them both. Faolan Reid is probably the future of this business, and I just defeated him. I back down from no one, so while this isn't the match I was looking for on Pay Per View, its one I now embrace.
The way I see it, it is you that has everything to prove, not me. The fans of Redefine know how much work Sasha Foote has been putting in, the fans of Anzac are about to find out. Ask yourself, are you ready for this? Are you ready to face the possibility that your much anticipated return can and will be spoiled?
This is Pay Per View, this is exactly the kind of situation I live for. This is why I'm up at 6 AM and in the gym every morning. There are few opportunities to really step up and show the world that hard work brought you here, and not luck. If you're as good as everyone says, this will be a challenge for me, but one I know I'm ready for. Can you say the same?"

More than anyone else, more than any other sport, wrestlers are a product of place. Where you come from, and the way you are taught to approach your craft, makes you the man you are. For some, their trainers are masters of the black and gray arts who gave their pupils every dirty trick and cheapshot in the book. However for Nighthawk, a second-generation star forged since he was barely enough to stand with the complete and utter expectation that he was going to one day step in his father’s footsteps, the training he went through to find himself in the place he is in now has shaped the man he is, and the champion that he has been everywhere he’s gone.
Trained since his teens by quiet and understated masters of their craft, men whose names never glittered in spotlights but who were nonetheless crucial to the sport, his rise from callow youngster eager to learn to world-traveled veteran who now teaches the finer points of his craft Nighthawk now plans, upon his return, to do what he has always done:
Train alongside those he has known best. Learn from those who you trust most deeply. And above all else, above everything else, prove with every sparring session, every mile of roadwork, and every match that you deserve the right to call yourself the “Man of 1000 Holds” and the “Best in the World”.
And as we see Nighthawk training in the sort of monastic quiet usually found in monasteries or other holy orders, we cannot help but see the slow return of that burning and white-hot intensity that has defined him to the world, as much as his prodigious talent.
For while his most recent travels have been defined by what he couldn’t do, and what he couldn’t achieve, his return to Redefine Pro Wrestling is about the chance to finish his career in the manner that he wants to.
Leaning against the ropes of the gym he owns, sweat pouring down his sculpted torso, the “Man of 1000 Holds” glares into the camera, his eyes coldly focused.
Nighthawk: “You will not see me, as you saw me last week, ever again.
Sasha Foote, consider this a promise.
This week, when you step in the ring with me, I show you why I have earned the right to come back to Redefine and get the cheers I got.
This week, when I step in the ring with you, I will show you what I’ve learned, what I was taught, when I went someplace else.
Ms. Foote, and I mean this with no disrespect, you are about to find out why I’ve been a champion everywhere I’ve gone.
Your attempts to prove yourself are admirable. They are noteworthy, and against anyone else, will likely bear fruit.
Not against me, however. Against me, you fail.
Goodnight Ms. Foote. May sleep give you the courage to go on.”

"May sleep give me the courage to go on? I don't need sleep to give me courage to go on against you, Nighthawk. I'm already ready to 'go on'. Thanks for admiring my courage, but my ultimate goal is to make you admire my work ethic, my undeniable passion to be the best, and my striking power. As I've said, I respect your history, what you've accomplished, but what can you do now, in 2015, for Redefine? What do you bring to the table?
Reading your bio, it seems as if you're a myth. 'The man of 1000 holds', 'The wrestling machine', 'arguably one of the best wrestlers in the world', all are very bold claims, but you apparently have backed them up. The only thing I have to say is, one day, all machines break down. Are you prepared to wrestle for an hour if we have to? I know I am. What if I have a counter for every hold you know? Because I'm in the gym everyday, learning counters, I'm talking to veterans, seeping in the knowledge they share daily. And to be the best wrestler in the world, you have to beat the best here and that would be Ajax, and guess who has beaten him? Me.
Among all of the craziness of barbed wire, all of the talk about Anzac vs Redefine, the ladders for championships, we are being called the best 'wrestling' match of the night. The fans and our peers are hyping our match up as a potential match of the night, even match of the year for both companies. You've been a champion everywhere you've gone, and I've been within a fingernails reach of becoming a champion here the last few months, I've just never gotten the shot I feel I deserve. I feel like if I beat you, I can no longer be denied my opportunity.
You're back because you either failed or got bored wherever you just came from, I'm HERE because I love this company. When you decided to come back and embrace those cheers from the fans, you unknowingly began stepping on my toes. I've worked too damn hard to win their respect without you coming in, playing savior and trying to steal everything way from me.
We're 'Beyond Chicago' now, so this company that used to literally be home to you is different. Its no longer home to you, its home to me. I'm not trying to reach people in one city or one state, I want to make an impact worldwide. When the match is over with, the fans will be clapping at both of our efforts, but they'll be on their feet for my performance. Something about wrestling former champions brings the best out of me. That word, champion, it keeps coming up doesn't it?
So this is it Nighthawk, you and me, one on one, former champion against future champion. We never forget the past, but I would rather Redefine the future."

As Nighthawk finishes watching tape of Sasha Foote, his eyes never leaving the video screen even as he calmly and coolly writes out the perfect strategy to beat his opponent, the “Wrestling Machine” glares into the camera. Clad in a black Tilden High School t-shirt, blue-and-orange wrestling shorts, and black work boots, the “Man of 1000 Holds” closes his eyes but can’t keep them closed for very long.
Nighthawk: “Sasha, it would be foolish, and I a fool, if I came out here and proclaimed that your victories over Pariah and Ajax were meaningless. So I will not do that. But Ms. Foote, and I want this to sink it, being a champion isn’t just about beating one. If it was, there would be many who could call themselves champions, and you and I both know that to simply not be the case.
But Ms. Foote, let me be clear with you about who you’re stepping in the ring with because, in the interest of fair play, I want you to know what to expect. That moniker of ‘Man of 1000 Holds’? It means I know more than you about how to wrestle. I know tricks taught to me by old masters whose knowledge died with them. And in New Zealand, I will stretch your limbs. I will tie you in knots you couldn’t escape with a week’s worth of preparation. As far as your belief that I can’t go an hour, this belief is cute. It is in no way capable of standing up to even the slightest bit of scrutiny, considering I’ve wrestled more 2-out-of-3 falls matches than anyone on this roster and have wrestled for over 90 minutes more than once.
But more than that, the much simpler thing, is this: You cannot just say you’re a future champion. It is not that easy. And it has never been.
This week, I prove that to you.
Goodnight Sasha. May sleep give you the courage to go on.”

"Let's just get right to it. I can't downplay the whole Man of 1000 holds thing you have going for you, because, you've been wrestling longer than I have and that moniker is probably true. You've probably learned from some of the all time greats, and many people expect you to come into When Worlds Collide and out wrestle me.
The fans still support you, management still believes in you, and with all of your acquired nicknames over the years, I know a lot of hard work has gone into what you do. So I go into this match, again as an underdog, and again competing against a former world champion. Its not new ground for me, Nighthawk. This is what I've been doing since my first ever wrestling match when I was wrestling Al Envy who at the time, was a champion.
I just think there's one thing you should know, Redefine isn't the same as it was when you left it. Not only are new faces redefining the company as well as professional wrestling as a whole, but new faces are taking spots once occupied by you. I may not be on par with you as far as technical wrestling goes, but I more than make up for it with my work ethic, my ability to fight even when I'm at the point of exhaustion and most importantly, my striking. I'm willing and able to take 10 suplexes from you and kick out. Are you able to take a kick to the head from a former Kickboxing Champion and get back up?
You were right about one thing, beating former champions doesn't give me the right to say I'm a future champion, but guess what? I haven't had any championship matches here in Redefine. BUT...the owner of the company did say he saw me as a future champion so if he see's it, why not claim it? Its not only his confidence that motivates me towards my ultimate goal, its the fact of knowing that in order to get a championship match and have the opportunity to actually become a champion, that I have to keep beating former champions, like yourself.
The harsh reality is Nighthawk that while I respect what you've done here before, and obviously the fans still have a lot of love and respect for you, there's a new guard here. Johnny Ajax, Declan Black, John Pariah, Faolan Reid, Andrew Wilkow...and Sasha Foote.
The past doesn't determine the future, but the future is what this business thrives on. Do I respect the past and what you've accomplished? Of course. But this is a new day. I'm hungrier, I'm younger, I hit harder, and I NEED this more than you do. Its admirable of you to come back for the fans, I think that says a lot about your character, but it was dumb for you to agree to a match with me.
Bring your 1000 holds, all I need is ONE STRIKE. #3PS"
