We open up backstage after Redefine, Sasha Foote has her Redefine World Championship proudly over her shoulder as she rubs it. Her pink nails focus over the nameplate that reads 'Sasha Foote'.
What an incredible show tonight right? Jordan Ciserano fought his butt off and earned a future shot at the Redefine World Championship. What a story it would make if Caliban could defeat me in our rematch, setting up for a Death by Velocity main event at Vendetta in November, that's what some people say. What I say? That isn't happening.
Sasha looks into the camera, determination spread across her face.
I worked too hard to win this championship, only to lose it in my first defense. I won't deny you've been a hard worker, Caliban, but lets ask ourselves something. How did you get this rematch? Did you earn it? No, because Ciserano just beat you and two other guys in the main event out there. You have a rematch clause, sure, but that could have been used a little later down the line, because this is a business and this match could be big business if promoted longer. No, lets tell everyone why you REALLY received this rematch. It wasn't because of anything you did in the ring, it was because you acted like a baby last week.
Sasha smiles, still rubbing her championship proudly.
Instead of accepting the loss to me like a true champion, you took to twitter and called me out on having a night off at Redefine. That little rant, in which you directly mentioned Redefine Pro, is the reason this rematch is happening, so congrats, whining got you what you wanted. Lets make one thing perfectly clear though, Caliban. I don't make the matches. I didn't ask for the night off, I was in attendance. Before you start calling someone out, be ready for the consequences.
The fans? They know how hard I've worked for this opportunity, this chance to represent Redefine Pro as its champion. My career may be in its beginning stages, but I've out worked everyone since signing here and no one, not even you can deny that.
What happened in our last match wasn't just luck. What happened was I outwrestled you, and I took THIS.
Sasha now smacks the plate of the championship with her fingertips.
Now, you want it back, right? I have news for you Caliban, if you thought our first match for this was intense, you've seen nothing yet. The saying is, its harder to keep a title than to win it, what that means to me is I have to work harder. So in our next match I'll HIT harder. I'll SLAM harder, I'll RUN faster, and I'll THINK more. You don't become a champion by luck, its about preparation and determination. You don't want to be champion more than I do. The hunger I have is more intense and in Newcastle, I show you that I'm just better than you Caliban."

Caliban: And so we do it all again from the outside in, but this time things are a little bit different, you see I am a little bit lighter in the waist area, this time I have nothing to lose Sasha and fortune favours the brave more than the wealthy, I hope you actually are as confident as you sound, that's good I like that I need you as confident as you can be because as you saw from my performance last time thats when people make mistakes. You can shout words like hit harder and slam harder, run faster and think more? thats cute paraphrasing my own schtick against me but you say those words all you want, you say you will do all of those things now that you are champion
He takes a drink from a bottle of water and looks back at the huge redefine Manchester backdrop behind him with a smile on his face
Caliban: I have lived those words every single day of my life since I decided that this was what I wanted to be, not a champion, or a legend or a hall of famer just simply the best entertainer I could be and to continue to get better from the start of my career to the finish. You would love more than anything to call your win a fluke because then it would give you a reason to yet again be in that niche where it looks like your fighting up from something but those days are over Sasha, you are a champion now, all those dreams came true but the difference between me and you was I didn't have the nightmares you are having right now. It may not be me who takes it Ill gladly admit that as I always have but you know in the pit of your stomach some day someone will come along and take it from you. See when I was the champion I considered myself as showing my best every time I got in the ring I stepped it up every time I got in the ring but your only gunna start stepping it up now? Well shit if anything I have you on momentum, Sasha I have been stepping it up every time I got in the ring for the last 10 years of my life, I have been running head first screaming into this life and have given it all I have every chance I got. I am the fastest thinking, heaviest hitting most entertaining shit you pants edge of you seat performer this company has and if that makes me a champion again then so be it. But Sasha just remember I have done this before, I have been faced with the chance to become a 2 time champion and I have taken it and to take it again will be perfect poetry. Me and Ciserano on PPV for the WHC, fuck I'd like to see that, who knows maybe.... Right?

"I don't think even you know what you're rambling about half the time Caliban. What your last video was, was a waste of my time and anyone's time who watched it because you literally gave no argument as to why you are going to regain the championship from me.
You mentioned I would love to call my victory over you a fluke, actually, I wouldn't so stop putting words in my mouth. My victory over you was far from a fluke, it was a hard earned win, one that I busted my ass for, and in the end, I proved to you, and to the world that I was better than you on that night.
That's the problem with people like you, you've done so much here and around the world, and you like to bring it up every chance you get, but we are in the here and now, and right now? I'm the best wrestler Redefine Pro has. That isn't being cocky, that's being truthful. Ajax is running away, Declan Black can barely put any videos up to promote his matches, but yet somehow still thinks he deserves it, and the other two, you and Ciserano, I've beaten you.
If you've been going so hard for 10 years, then maybe its time to slow down, Caliban. I'm in my first year, I'm a rookie, and I'm at the top of this company. Maybe time has passed you by, who knows, all I know is that while you get slower, more worn down, and more wear and tear on your body, I get stronger, faster, and am inching closer to my peak match by match. I want to know, what makes you think you can beat me in Newcastle?
Don't feed me the line about wanting the main event at the Pay Per View with Ciserano, give me actual reasons why. I'm 1-0 against you, that's my advantage. I can hit harder, that's my advantage. I'm younger, my advantage, faster, the crowd seems to like me more and my matches are most viewed. Do you literally have any advantage over me other than experience? The same experience that did nothing for you in our first match?
We'll be in a different setting, but the end result will be the same. I'm not walking into Newcastle to lose my championship, that isn't an option. I'm walking into Newcastle with the Redefine World Championship proudly around my waist, as my daughter watches from home. I'm stepping into that ring with more intensity than I've ever had in me, and when that bell rings Caliban, I'm going to show you once again that I'm simply better than you are. When you lose this time, there's no whining on twitter about me having a night or two off. Check the tapes, since June I've been the hardest working wrestler on this entire roster. The next time you question me, will be your last. Good luck next week. You're going to need it."

Caliban: And the reason for that? It's because I refuse to end up in your bullshit merry go round that happens any time some one faces you, it obviously works getting in their head so I am going to go back to talking about what I give a damn about instead of deconstructing the same 3 thoughts that come out of your head every time you open your hole. I am sick and tired of trying to convince you that it isn't all about you because obviously thats how you work so instead I am going back to talking about what it is all about and that is making sure that title is being held to the highest regard by every person in this industry at all times.
He smiles
Caliban: So you go on talking about yourself Sasha and how you have supposedly been the hardest working wrestler in the month of june when whether it be by your decision or not you didn't work the week after you won that title, you wanna talk about being the hardest working competitor this month? I have been the hardest working competitor in this company since day 1, find a show I haven't competed on Sasha, hell, find one where I didn't have the match of the night or be in the main event. Need I remind you how that title got to be around my waist in the first place? I didn't beat anybody, I didn't even get involved in the singles division, I did it by being the one guy who is here heart body and soul every week and has been and always will be until they tell me I can't anymore, I am in the conversation for the first Redefine Hall of Famer who was made right here in Redefine
He looks deep into the camera
Caliban: You said your matches are the most viewed ever think thats maybe because they have been with people like Pariah, Ciserano, Declan Black, Ash Scion, some of the biggest names in the industry right now? You can say the crowd SEEM to like you more that could be true I don't tend to notice but then myself like most of us are here to compete not pander to the people watching us because we don't need them to feel like someone. Lemme tell you what I have over you in experience, I am the only double champion in this companies history, I am part of the reason you have that belt to hold. You yet again fall into that trap where you think being the champion makes you something. How sad is that you needed a belt to be someone. I am going to show you that belt or not, win or not your great matches come from us not just your ability. You want me to convince you that I am going to beat you? I don't have to convince you I'd rather just beat you if I can

"Making this all about me? Are you delusional Caliban? I'm PROUD to be the champion of this COMPANY, to represent the company as its champion. I never claimed I needed to be a champion to be someone, I've been someone even before I stepped into the wrestling ring. You either haven't done your research or just don't care to mention that before wrestling, I was an undefeated boxer and kickboxer. I've always had competitive drive, and I've always been confident in my abilities. Being a champion is special though because it signifies being the absolute best in not only Redefine, but in wrestling. I'm one of few with a World Title belt around my waist right now.
You can talk about being a Redefine hall of famer in the future, and you've done enough to warrant that, but hall of famers are beatable. Lets also not forget you've been here from day one as you've stated, but since I've walked through the doors, I've been just as successful, if not more than you have. I won my first Redefine World Title in less time than you did in this company, that says a lot to me.
You said you would 'rather beat me if you can'. IF is the keyword here, Caliban. You couldn't beat me the first time, and you still haven't told me what makes this time any different? All you've done is the same thing you criticized me for, talked about yourself. You gave us a lesson on being a double champion, on being a hard worker, on being a first ballot hall of famer, so how can you call anyone out for talking about themselves and how does ANY of that give you an advantage in our match? How does it help you do what you couldn't do just two weeks ago and beat me?
I've always worked hard to prepare for a match, but since becoming a champion I know the target is now on my back and that means there's no margin for error or laziness. You're right, I pride myself on being one of the hardest workers in professional wrestling, and you will see that, AGAIN, first hand in our match in Newcastle.
I don't need to be an 'underdog', because now? I'm the TOP DOG. I'm the champion and YOU are the one that has to beat me, I don't have to beat you. I have nothing but respect for what you can do in the ring, but I'm not losing my championship on the first defense.
How much heart do you have, Caliban? Do you have enough to wrestle for 30 plus minutes, and not only wrestle, but be aggressive enough to combat the aggression I'll be throwing your way? After 30 minutes can you still hit as hard as a former undefeated kickboxer? Ask yourself how ready you really are, and then in just a few days, lets give Newcastle a match they will never forget. 3..P's."

Caliban: All these things you say about yourself, undefeated kickboxer, where and why should this company give a shit? The most viewed competitor in june? We don't put full matches up online so what your match is why everyone watches the show? Sasha you spend all your time telling the world why you are different, why you are better, unique but in truth you are exactly the same as everyone else spouting your own fire with no other voices to add coal to the flames. When I say I am redefine I mean it, everything I talk about doing has been done here, every fight I have fought win or loss that I dare to bring up when I stand here talking to you every week was fought here because unlike you I understand the value of Redefine pro wrestling I understand that when we get in that ring what we do will mean more than anything we have done elsewhere or at least it will to me because this is the first time I have helped build a company Sasha and you can see from what I have done here that I have given everything too it
He stands up pacing back and forth rubbing the back of his head in what can easily be mistaken for agitation until he turns to face the camera and his expression is full of childlike excitement
Caliban: And now I get to take my pride and joy home to the UK, to Newcastle where in truth half of my friends from high school ended up going to University, some of them still live in the city and I get to bring what I consider my life's greatest work to their home town AND BURN THE PLACE TO THE FUCKING GROUND, I am going to show everyone who thought that what they where doing was going to make them somebody while I was just sitting watching WWF tapes of Triple H and Benoit tearing each other apart, all the people who told me they felt bad leaving me behind to rot and now I am going to help sell out one of the biggest arenas in the country right in front of their faces
He tosses his smoke after a long drag and a sighing exhale
Caliban: Sasha all we hear from you is what you are, who you have beat once, where you wrestled and how you think that you are hot shit, it's not about you Sasha and here whether you are the World Heavyweight champion or the new guy walking in the door it's about Redefine Pro Wrestling and finishing what Pariah started in Chicago almost 2 years ago now. I look at you now and see what I saw in a guy like Wada, all the momentum in the world but once we took his glory he went away, I am starting to assume you will follow suit tends to be what happens if I win a title back

Sasha Foote inhales a breath of air as we open up in an empty gym, as she had just finished running the ropes in a wrestling ring.
"In just over 24 hours, I defend my Redefine championship for the first time. I can't even pretend to be tough right now, I'm confident but I'm nervous. Caliban is a serious threat to my championship run, I have a ton of respect for what he can do in the ring. We've done this before and I won, and I hope the outcome is the same tomorrow, but just in case, I'm pushing myself to new levels in my training."
Sasha takes a seat in the ring, and looks around, taking everything in.
"This ring, or any ring, feels like a second home to me. When I'm not back in Detroit with my daughter, fiancé and his son, I'm here...wrestling to entertain the fans, or training to be one of the best. I can't sit here and pretend to have more experience than Caliban, because I don't, but what I can say, is my dedication to this business and this company is second to none. I live this business, my job is only second to my family.
Caliban, we invade Newcastle tomorrow night and we're going to give those fans a match to remember. The one thing about all of this that puzzles me as far as you are concerned is the fact that you still haven't given me any solid reasons why you think you can win this time. I showed you last time what I could do, but so far, all you've done is contradict yourself. You keep saying I make it all about me, and then you go and brag about what you've done here. You tell us how you watch wrestling tapes to get prepared, but what you should be doing is watching tapes of my matches, scouting my moves and what I did last time to win, because I can promise I'm watching tapes of you.
As a double champion at one time, you deserve respect. After our match, I'll have no problem shaking your hand, but for now, we're opponents. While you watch other wrestlers matches, I'm watching yours, looking for any flaw in your game. Since this match was announced, I've done nothing but physically and mentally prepare myself for this match, which I know is going to be more intense than our last one.
Tomorrow night, I walk to the ring as a WORLD CHAMPION."
A proud smile crosses her face.
"Its a moment I'm sure I'll never forget, and its a moment that I want to relive over and over again. If you want to take my title, you are going to have to send me out on a stretcher. Tomorrow we REDEFINE what a World Title match looks like, and I plan on leaving my Foote Print all over you, Caliban. This is my moment, and you can't take it from me."

We open on Caliban sitting on a chair, a smoke behind his ear a reverse snapback on his head with "THINK,FAST" stitched 'into the fabric
Caliban: You're gunna leave your Footprint all over me? BAHAHAHAHAHAHA what in the fuck is that?
He lets his head fall down between his elbows shaking it letting the laughter subside
Caliban: It must confuse you why I can have the kinda confidence I have going into this, it must confuse you why I won't simply admit that you are better than me all because you hold that belt you beat me for, well that just shows yet again Sasha that you are an outsider here, do you even know anything about the belt you so proudly drape around your waist? Find a champion who held that belt for an amount of time that's worth a damn, that belt doesn't make you the best here it just puts you in the position to prove you are by having to face everyone else who is here because BEING HERE IS PROOF ENOUGH THAT EVERY SINGLE ONE OF US IS THE BEST AT WHAT WE DO BECAUSE THAT IS WHAT THIS COMPANY STANDS FOR! You wanna be treated like you are better than everyone else because you hold a belt go somewhere that the belt is nothing more than a prop for people like you
He lights the smoke from behind his ear
Caliban: You hit every bleeding heart cliche don't you? Everything from the "this is my dream but I have kids and so it's real hard for me to live it" straight outta American Idol crap, to the "you are gunna have to kill me to take my belt" all the way down to the women's empowerment diatribe. You are something we have all seen before, you are the kind of champion we have all seen before, you think you are the only one with kids? You think you are the only one of us who had to deal with adversity to get here Sasha? we are pro wrestlers, do you think any of us where told that what we wanted to do with our lives was a good idea? Those people I talked about the one's who moved from my home town to the destination of our clash laughed at me while I slept in my car travelling across boarder from the US to Canada learning to do this, changing myself into something of worth to this business, this company! All your adversity is normal BORING just like you, you are just like everybody else who has ever managed to TAKE something from me, you think that once is enough, all your big victories read the same you beat the guy once and you think it makes you better or on their level but I am going to prove on Saturday night that once in this company is never enough and that is how WE, not just you, will REDEFINE this industry.... INCOMING!
