Tag Team Champions in the hands of Death By Velocity once again. The championships in the hands of it's rightful owners, not some rookies looking for a career change, not in the hands of a team that didn't respect the titles, opponents or the business. Instead it has returned to the veterans of this business, that despite winning it for the fourth time continue to bring new elements in every week. Last week, Death By Velocity beat Coast 2 Coast. This week Jordan Ciserano must beat another veteran in Declan Black.
Declan Black is not like any of the members of Coast 2 Coast, in fact I'd be safe to say that he is the complete opposite; clean, experienced, professional, and dangerous. Him being the opposite of my last opponent isn't going to be a problem though, if anything it just adds to the fun.
As I explained last week facing a new guy every week, championship or not, is a part of the job and this one is no different. Declan is a powerful guy who is power hungry. Look on Twitter and he is there hunting for the World Heavyweight Championship by trying to bribe Sasha to give him a shot because he deserves it more than anyone throwing out win-loss records against Ajax and Caliban. You want a win-loss record Declan? One win, no losses; My record against you.
Now you can claim that that's because I was teaming with Caliban and Ajax to take you down, you could say that it was dumbfounded luck, you could even say that it didn't mean anything because I pinned Ajax not you. But here's the thing, if I beat you by teaming up or by not pinning you it just means I know how to beat you in more than the usual ways. It means that I know how to win.
It means that I know where I can take advantage of you to gain a giant win as we get closer to that chance you haven't gained yet. It means that when you go for that modified wrist lock-lariat you better expect a kick to the face. I know you're technical, so am I, so I understand you tactic... but you're going to snap at one point. You can only wait so long before you crack and come to attack me. I am at the top of my game so the moment that you do happen to attack, the counter is coming moving my record to 2-0 against you.
I just won the World Tag Team Championship, now it's time to show exactly why I am going to be facing Sasha for the World Heavyweight Champion. Declan is a major contender in this business, and defeating him would be the perfect final push towards the title match. So Declan be prepared, because I'm throwing out my best in this one. Caliban or not I've proven that I could win against you... so I will.
Best of Luck Mate.

(The following is a blog post from DeclanBlack.com, dated October 23rd, 2015.)
I get the question all the time. Why do I wrestle? I mean, I have more money than I could ever count from my parents' company. Why do I put so much of my life into wrestling? To getting dropped on my head for money? Why do I fly myself out on my own dime, pay for my own hotels, endure injuries, the heartbreak that's inherent to this business...when hell, I don't have to. I could sit on my ass at home, have sex a hundred times a day, make an obscene amount of money, and be done. I could have the easiest life ever, man. But I don't. I won't. That's just not acceptable to me. So, the question remains...why?
I earned a lot of the money I have. Yeah, it's my parents' company, and yeah, I still haven't made as much with it as they did, but I did enough with it that nobody can objectively look at my situation, know the facts, and say I don't deserve the money. Nobody except me. See, no matter how well I do with that, in my own head, it'll never be mine. And I can't stand around and roll in money that I didn't work for. I'm not going to act like I'm successful when the success isn't my creation, my doing. I'm a firm believer that you get what you work for, and that applies in life, in business, and in wrestling.
The Declan Black you see in the ring is all me. I did every bit of work to keep myself in shape mentally and physically, to know my opponent, to stay one step ahead of the competition. There's nothing in my success in the ring that you can say is somebody else's doing, and I take the utmost pride in that. When I beat a Sasha Foote or a Jordan Caliban, I did it because the things I did made me better on that given night, and there's no rush like it. I can look in the mirror, and know I earned every bit of success I've attained in wrestling. Just like the success I'll achieve when I defeat Jordan Ciserano when we #REDEFINEBlackpool.
Jordan, you know I have a great deal of respect for your partner, and if you can go anything like him, I know I have a hell of a match on my hands. But the fact is, you're the only thing between me and a guaranteed World Title match. I beat you, I'm next in line, regardless of who wins at Vendetta. So you can bet that I'll do anything and everything to defeat you. You better be ready to kick into gears you've never used before, because anything less means defeat for you. On Saturday night, you can either prove you're ready to be World Champion...or that you're ready to be beaten by one.
Your call, Mr. Ciserano.
