Non Title Match: Carmen Cambridge vs Jordan Ciserano

Post by Carmen Cambridge on Nov 8, 2015 5:46:54 GMT
Carmen Cambridge fell short of her goals at Vendetta, and she wasn't happy about it on the way out of the arena. She spots the cameraman following her as she's heading out of the arena, stopping dead in her tracks and turning back to the cameraman.
"You wanna do this right now? You want a comment after I lost the biggest match of my Redefine career? Well zoom in then and I'll tell you exactly how I feel."
The cameraman zooms in as Carmen stares straight into the camera, annoyance, frustration, and a bit of pain etched on her face.
"Tonight wasn't my night. I went out there and did what I should have done last week, I defeated the TV Champion Mars Tetch. After Caliban eliminated beard boy, it was down to him and I, and he kicked out of my biggest moves, and I kicked out of his...until the last one. Obviously, I'm not happy right now. I'm happy to be leaving Manchester and the UK in general, but I'm not Gucci. Not at all.
Ciserano, congrats. You won the Redefine World Title, but ask yourself, are you REALLY in the long term plans to be 'the man' here? I mean, its a joke that you get the biggest win of your career, and now your partner is STILL overshadowing you as he is getting the main event and you aren't. How does that feel?
I'm not in the mood for games or to be cute right now, so I'ma keep it simple, I'm beating you at Redefine 25. Caliban has always been the strength behind your team, and alone, you're little title run? It's gonna be short boo boo. As a matter of fact, I feel like if I pin you, that sets me up to be in contention for a title shot. Who knows, maybe losing my match tonight was a blessing in disguise."
Carmen smiles at the thought, the first smile she had flashed since her match earlier in the night.
"Let's not forget, I've already beaten you and I know I can do it again. I can't hate on you winning the title, but I can laugh at the fact that you're still an afterthought. Trust me boo boo, you'll be in MY shadow next week. It might take a lil bit of time, but Carmen Cambridge is destined to be a star, whether its here in Redefine, or elsewhere.
Speaking of elsewhere, I'd rather be wrestling somewhere besides Chicago next week, but the whole 25th show is a homecoming, whatever. I know the fans in that building better gimme the respect I deserve, unlike the fans tonight who boo'd and distracted me throughout my entire match. If you guys boo anyone, boo the generic champion, the man who would be overshadowed by his own shadow, boo Jordan Ciserano.
And Jordan...here's a request, keep that belt lookin' pretty for me, because after I win, I WILL make sure I get my shot."

"Where he at? Where is he?"
We see Carmen Cambridge walking around a makeshift backstage area. The made up set has trash cans, a Redefine banner, and even a bed. Carmen playfully looks under the bed and shrugs. She next lifts a trash can and turns it upside down, before looking back at the camera, the Redefine banner hanging behind her.
"Where is our new World Champion? Ever since he won the title, we haven't seen or heard from him. I can tell you where he isn't, and that's on my level. In order to be a champion, a REAL champion, you have to be the face of a company. You have to be able to do more than just wrestle nowadays. Connect with people on social media, have an entertaining personality, promote the company you work for, create a stir...give people a reason to care. I does all of that. I was supposed to open the FINAL WWA card, defending my Pure Championship, but what happened? Due to my star power of course, my promotion of the match, and the effort I was putting in, I was put in the main event, over the World Championship and guess what? I retained my title and closed the company down as the last thing anyone saw, me holding MY belt in the air proudly.
You Ciserano? You are nothing like me. While you are happy you finally made it, I'm forever hungry. I wanna eat the crumbs off your plate boo boo, and I wanna make a name for myself here. Redefine has cash monies in me if they bank it right, but lemme guess what you gonna say when you FINALLY decide to talk, this isn't about being entertaining or talking, its about wrestling, right? Cool, I does that too.
I'm more than just a pretty face with a marketable personality, I can wrestle with the best of 'em. You earned the Redefine title, can't take that from you, but I know title or not, I'm better than you and I'ma prove it at Redefine 25. You better be counting your blessings that they decided to make this a non title match otherwise you would have the shortest title reign in Redefine history.
I know I touched on this a lil' bit, but aren't you upset that as the NEW world champion, you aren't main eventing? I don't even blame the company, because straight up I think Caliban is better than you. But what have you done to change anyone's mind? While Caliban and Drew are arguing over who is better, you're chillin' in the cut somewhere. Keep chillin', because while you do that, I'm on FIRE boo, I'm HOT right now. Sorry to ruin your little celebration week after winning, but you're leaving Redefine 25 with an L this weekend.
Its time to step up to the plate and represent as the BEST or its time for you to strike out boo boo. I gots this."

::The scene opens to Jordan Ciserano sitting down with the Tag Team Championship on one arm and the World Heavyweight Championship shining on the other. He looks at both of them and nods his head before he speaks.::
I did it. I finally gained a singles title in Redefine by beating one of the toughest competitors in the company, Sasha Foote. Damn does it feel good.
::Jordan smiles again::
In the greatest string of matches in my life winning against three former champions, the tag champions, and then the World Heavyweight champion to reach where I am today. At the top of the singles division.
Now because I gained the title doesn't mean I'm letting my guard down because I feel I don't need to win anymore, in fact its the opposite. My guard has been spiked up since the moment I gained the World Heavyweight Championship, the instant that I pinned Sasha I knew that I needed to be even better than on my run to the title. Because once you gain a title, as I know with the tag championship, a target is posted on you. You have the thing everyone wants.
This week in my first match with some new gold I face someone hoping to knock me down a few levels in Carmen Cambridge, someone who claims to be able to take down Death By Velocity herself. Don't make me laugh, I know that you are talented, you drive people to their limits every week... but just last week you lost to one member and this week you're about to lose to yet another.
Sure you've beaten me before, but just like Sasha who beat me before that was quite along time ago. Not only have I one a singles title against then... I've also become a better wrestler. I've achieved things I couldn't have dreamed of then, now I can dream of taking you down and knowing I can do it.
The wrestler I am now is someone who just like you is always hungry. Sure I've reached the top, but that simply isn't enough for me. The highest height, the grandest honor isn't enough for me. I need to beat everyone in my path, I need to destroy their hopes of getting my titles, and I need to knock their egos down a few levels teaching them who the best is.
I may not be in the main event, but that only drives me. You think I'm angry because of it? Boo hoo. It only means that Death By Velocity, that team you think you can beat, is just that good. The only thing I'm annoyed about is you comparing me to other men, but if I were with as many men as you... I'm sure they'd all seem the same after a while too.
Keep thinking of me as Caliban though, think of me as someone completely different, because after this match you're going to wish you faced someone other than the best.

"Wanna know why I hate non-title matches?"
Carmen pauses, almost waiting for an answer, before smirking and continuing.
"I don't curr if you wanna know or not, I'ma tell you anyway. The reason I hate non-title matches is because it gives a safety net to the champion, in this case, Jordan Ciserano. I'm sure Ciserano is gonna comeback and say that it wasn't his choice that this match is non-title, but trust me, he's happy that it is because he already know that when that bell rings I'ma whoop him so bad that Caliban will be hurting too."
Cambridge giggles playfully.
"The fact is, when I won my tag titles, from Ciserano and his partner by the way, I was left off the next show. I wasn't havin' that though. I did what nobody else would do, and I DEMANDED to not only wrestle at the next show, but to put my newly won tag titles on the line. It wasn't my partner, Grayson Shaw who wanted to defend, it was ME. I did that. Why? Because what's the point of having a championship if its just going to be an accessory, for serious. Ciserano could have been a man and told JPO to make it a title match, but nah, he didn't. There are levels to this and you boo boo just aren't on mines.
Can't say that I blame you, I already hold a win over you. You got a lil confidence, some swag about yourself because you're on this lil' winning streak but trust me, its coming to an end Saturday night. You had the nerve to say after our match I'll be wishing I wasn't taking on the best. Really, boo boo? All I want is the best. Who wants to waste their time on people who will be here this week and gone the next? I wanna beat the legends, the best, and the mens with the titles. Greed af by the way. Have two championships and not defending any of 'em?
A fighting champion would demand this be a title match. A fighting champion would stand up and tell the world that Redefine messed up by not making you the main event in your first match since winning that title. Let's face facts though, you aren't a fighting champion and you aren't the best in this company.
When we wrestle on Saturday, I have everything to gain and nothing to lose. If I win, I open the eyes of everyone and show the world what I already know, that I'm a threat for your championship and that I DESERVE a shot. What are you fighting for? If you win, big deal, right? Its not like you can count it as a successful title defense, and you can't go any higher than being World Champion. Again, levels...get on mines. This match puts me at the top of the contenders list, and boo boo? I gots to have that. Bet on that, Bet on Carmen.

Have you ever thought about how I became champion Carmen? Obviously not because it takes clearly more of a mind than you've ever had in this business. I got this title through thinking through all my moves, working out a strategy, making sure that I knew what I was doing and making sure that I don't make any dumb-ass mistakes. Putting my title on the line in this match, would be a dumb-ass mistake, hell that's why I have two titles and your shoulders are still cold.
Oh Carmen, you do have everything to gain and nothing to lose in this match because you lost your tag titles. You took them, made the stupid decision to defend them nearly instantly, and you lost them. You got the title, you got to raise up the ranks of Redefine, and you got cocky. You thought you were the best then and then you were taken down. You thought you were on another level then and then you were taken down... funny how you still haven't learned.
No matter how many people beat you in a row, you still stay cocky. But to you that's just promotion isn't it? You can't get by on your wrestling ability or genuine personality so you have to act like someone you can't live up to just to get attention. You have to act like the leader of a clique in the hope that you can be the leader of this business. But as long as you have the thought that you are the greatest, with nothing backing that up, there's no chance that you will become who you want to be.
If you want to face the legends of the company, and if you want to face the champions that's perfectly fine maybe I'll be able to teach you how to act like a champion in that sense. But if you want to face the champions for the championships, you have to do a lot more than insult the prestige of the World Champion hoping that you can convince Pariah to give you yet another chance to see if you can grasp the gold yet again. You calling me and my title out doesn't mean a thing.
What does mean something though is that ever since you did beat me I have been everything that you could only wish to become. A duel champion and a winner. I have become confident, not cocky, all because I've taken down people like you. All because I've taken advantage of your blind, bull-headed ignorance and turned it into fuel, turned it into my mission to teach you who is on the top.
Everything you said proved what already knew, I have a target on your back and you are going to do whatever you can to beat me. I'm ready for that Carmen. I just hope that you are ready for me, because I don't see a "safety net" in matches, I just see more opportunities to kick heads.

'Putting my title on the line in this match, would be a dumb-ass mistake'
That line of Jordan Ciserano's video is on repeat, looped over and over as Carmen sits in the middle of a ring in an empty gym after sparring with her friend, Dead Eye. Cambridge lets the sound byte play a few more times before she smirks and cuts it off on her phone.
"For once in your life, you're actually right, it would be a dumb decision to put your belt on the line. What I don't get though, is, in your mind, why would it be? I mean you're so confident you're gonna beat me, right? So why would it be dumb to defend the title? Exactly...someone isn't as confident as they want the people to believe.
Me though? I'm A1 boo boo, I know I can beat you tomorrow night. You said I can't get by on wrestling ability, yet I pinned the TV Champion last week at Redefine Vendetta, AND I did something that only YOU have done previously and that was kick out of the Caliboom. Only two people in history boo boo have kicked out of that, and I'm one of them along with you. And my wrestling ability? It got me to the point of nearly beating Caliban for that TV title, so don't tell me I can't wrestle because like me or not, that's some BS and we both know it.
You've been winning, and I can't take that from you, but a winning streak doesn't last forever, just like a losing streak doesn't either. Going into this match, you have more confidence, so you think. Based on Redefine? Sure, I give you that. But boo boo, I just made BIG MONIES to join somewhere after WWA closed, and speaking of WWA, I closed that show in style by defending my title and successfully becoming the final Pure Champion ever. My confidence level is sky high too.
So that brings us back to the beginning. We can both wrestle, we both know how to win, but one of us has two titles while the other has zero, zilch, nada. I'ma change that soon enough, but its gonna start by opening everyone's eyes when I defeat the new Redefine champion in his first match since winning the title.
Who did you win that title from? Sasha Foote. Everyone thought she was unbeatable, right? I mean only Declan, Ajax, and Ash Scion had beaten her before, but then you did it...you did what no one, myself included thought was possible. Now, you seem to think you're unbeatable because of your lil' recent streak, but trust me...just how you shocked Sasha, I'ma shock you.
My shoulder might be 'cold', empty right now, but at Redefine 25, I'ma steal the show as usual. I'ma show the world that when you say I can't wrestle, you a mu-fuggin lie boo boo! I'ma wrestle circles around you, straight up. I got this."

"So why would it be dumb to defend a title?" Many thoughts run into my head when I heard you say that for the first time none I can say. I will say though I don't want want a mistake to happen and for you to run away with the title. Mistakes do happen, you're still here, and as the champion I need to take every precaution to defend it. No matter how confident or non-confident I am I have three goals now; Win, Defend, Death By Velocity with the order changing all the time.
Also congrats, you pinned the TV Champion at Redefine: Vendetta... I will say that was only because you had Faolan and my boy Caliban kicking Mars down to you because everyone wanted him out though. You were just the lucky person to get the pinfall. You weren't lucky enough to get the pinfall that mattered though and no matter how many kickouts you had you didn't have that one more in you to survive for another ten seconds. No matter what you kicked out of, you didn't have it in you to win.
Myself on the other hand got my win against Sasha solo. I won it because I was the best person that night. I scored the pinfall and I won the match. I didn't have two other people knocking a guy down while I sat in the corner, I was fighting... and I was winning.
Hey Carmen, has it ever occurred to you WWA closed because you were champion. Seriously, you were at the top before the company went down which means you had to have a fair factor in that outcome. Maybe not drawing, maybe people just tired of seeing you. Even when I wasn't champion I was helping this place grow from the gyms to the arenas. When I won the tag titles the first few times, Caliban and I brought teams in from everywhere to wrestle. Where you just killed a business.
You see Carmen I don't stop at shocking once, you and I wouldn't be here if I did. I feel that I need to keep shocking and keep shocking until it isn't one anymore. When I pinned Declan becoming the only wrestler on the roster to do so, I shocked. When I won the World Championship, I shocked. Now I need to shock your ego and shock your mind taking that notion of my beatablity out of your head. If you did beat me it would be a shock, but not as much as the shock you're body will actually experience at my hands.
Carmen, I just got this title and I'm not starting this reign with a loss, I'm going to start it with a dominating win. You want to wrestle, so I'm ready to throw my body out into that ring and go to my limit, but more so than that I'm ready to push you over yours seeing you unable to kick out once again.

"Did this ninja really just say I was the reason WWA went out of business? REALLY? You must not have been watching. First of all, I wasn't the one carrying the company boo boo, I was the PURE Champion, not the PNW Champion. Second, I was having show stealing matches everytime I went out there, and was the reason people kept buying tickets. I was the one who was announced to have the opening match at the final show, but due to the promotion that my opponent and I put up, the anticipation was so high for our match that we jumped from opening the show, to closing it as the main event. That's werk boo. W E R K with an E.
And don't take responsibility for the tag stuff here either because we both know that when Beauty and the Beast arrived, it re-ignited a dead tag team division. Its easy to be dominant when you have no one to defend the titles against. My first match against you guys, the most dominant team ever here, we beat you. That was then, this is now.
Its funny that you mention me not being able to kick out, like I'm some kind of failure because I was finally pinned or submitted here, newsflash, everyone loses sometime, and you had your fair share of losses too so don't get on your high horse. You mention shocking my body like I'm some fragile lil' thing, I does this, Ciserano. I can take whatever you dish out and serve you that same dish.
You are so confident you aren't walking outta Chi-town tomorrow night with an L, but yo...think about what happens if you DO catch that loss. Your first match as champion, you lose to someone you said earlier can't wrestle. Losing to someone you 'claim' helped kill a company even though that was a lie too. Losing to someone with an ego bigger than your stupid little heart. That sounds tragic, doesn't it?
Gucci.
I want you to be disappointed. I want you to eat every disgusting word you've been spouting off because at the end of the day, while you are making up lies and trying to downplay my star power, I'ma show up and show out at Redefine 25.
This is your company, right? The place you and Caliban helped build. You guys hold all of the gold. I should bow down to you? Kiss the ground you walk on? Ninja miss me with that. You should be bowing to me, thanking me for giving people something to get excited about going into this match. While you were mute most of the week, I kept people interested. While you were doin' whatever it is you do, I was keeping the Redefine name hot on social media, guaranteeing people tune in. So while you helped BUILD Redefine, I'm helping to grow it.
Homecoming is tomorrow, Redefine returns to Chicago, and I'ma be the name in everyone's mouth. Bet."

Clearly you are missing something love, clearly if you are the carrying the company that means you also must have had no competition right? That must also mean that you had no one else in that business who could wrestle at the same level as you, it must have mean't you had no one to have competitive matches with. I mean "Its easy to be dominant when you have no one to defend the titles against." Funny, I'm sure you'll come back saying that there was no one who could wrestle with you because you beat them all so dominate that nobody could touch you let alone beat you. Funny, that's how Death By Velocity was and still is.
One last thing on this tag match stuff, we had the titles in our first reign when there was competition, your words, longer than you had yours. How long did you have your titles again? From Philadelphia to Rising Sun... fifteen days. Keep tell yourselves you were the most dominate team, because the numbers don't lie.
It seems like lying is something that you are very good at, carry it with a smile and a couple words in that terrible accent and you pass it off very well. Shocking your body like your little, no. Shocking your body because I am skilled. Shocking your body because after the pain you feel you won't be able to fight back.
Bada-Boom.
It's not that you can't wrestle, it's just you haven't been able to wrestle effectively without Grayson or some other big guy at your side.
Instant Doom.
You want me to thank you for all that you have done for this business, thank you. Now that's done maybe you can focus on the match.
Put In Tomb.
I helped build this company and I'm not going to let you bury it. It takes more than a couple of Tweets to gain popularity, which still doesn't make sense I don't know who would want to join if all they see are complaints to Pariah 24/7, but that's besides the point. The point is as a builder I am also a defender, one that will make sure that you don't come close anywhere close to beating me, and no where close to gaining this title. I'll help continue this business by shutting you up, the most powerful tool.
For this week I am more than ready to shut you up too. Get you so worked up that you can't control yourself trying to defend your ego making it so I don't just steal the match, but I make sure that it's known that I earned it. I'm ready to do more than just to run in and out of the ring with my life, I'm ready to make sure that I don't need to worry about yours for some time to come.
Motivation, momentum, skill, domination, all things I have and things I have done. That won't change against you. Plain and simple.
