"Ladies and gentlemen, we are only a few days away from Redefine 29. With me today are two men who are about to square off. "YOUR Favorite Drug" Xavier Laroux and The Toku Titan! Geki Nitoh."
The scene picked up inside of a moderately lit room. The only furniture would be three chairs and a round table. A middle aged man wore a three piece black suit and sat in the chair between the other two chairs.
Xavier sat in the chair to the right, that arrogant smirk plastered to his face. In true Laroux fashion he would be dressed in a pair of tattered, faded denim jeans and a skin tight white tanktop.
"At Redefine 28, Geki won his Golden Dreams Qualifier while you lost yours Xavier. Why do you think Mr. Pariah gave you, of all people, a second chance at such a big prize?"
Laroux looked almost offended at the question.
"I'm going to let that whole, of all people, shit go. As for your question, John Pariah sees me for the fuckin' cash cow that I am. It's business...I'm a marketable guy. I get people interested in what I'm doing. Last week, I got people interested in the boring Jacob Daniels. This week, I'm going to get people interested in the boy over there."
"Even beyond that, look at who you've got in the match. Jacob Daniels, Jason Richards, and ole boy over there. This match needs me. How are you going to get people interested in that? That's where I come in."
"At least I will after next week. After I take this child and show him his place."
Geki looked as if he was about to speak up, only to get cut off by Xavier.
"Keep ya god damn mouth shut until I'm finished. This isn't the business a child belongs in. We don't need somebody who plays dress up and runs around, playing with toys. You don't have the maturity for this life. It's going to eat you alive. This business will take your smile and fuck it."
"I firmly stand beside the fact that Geki Nitoh does not belong here. When the heat turns up, when you're standing out there with the world watching, you're going to break under the pressure. You're going to be revealed for what you are and I don't even need to be the one who does it."
"This is your final exam, Geki. How you handle this whole interview, how well you hold up under the pressure of someone like me. I am unlike anyone you have ever faced, Geki."
"I'm not going to sit here and say I'm gonna kick your head off your shoulders, that's jailbait's thing. I'm going to tug on the worst person you're capable of being. I'm going to get into your head and when we step into that ring against one another? I'm going to knock you the fuck out."
Smirking, he slapped that denim covered right knee for emphasis.

The feed still rolling, Geki would look rather serious, that smile barely hinted at. The Toku Titan wore a pair khaki slacks and a white buttoned up shirt, his hair pulled back into a bun.
After Xavier spoke his piece, Geki scooted forward in his chair, on the edge of it.
"Same question Geki. Why do you think he was given a second chance from Mr. Pariah?"
"I am not going to pretend like I know why Mr. Pariah makes the decisions he does, it's not my place to. What I do know is that you're full of it. You're just like Saito. You might get the win but I promise you it is not going to be as easy as you want the world to believe."
"Right out of the gate, you attack my hobbies, you call me a child. You act as if I'm some kid struggling to keep my head above water. You couldn't be anymore wrong."
"My hobbies are not your concern, they might hold a huge part of my life but dressing up and playing with toys holds no bearing over what I can do in that ring."
"I might be immature but I promise you, nobody has worked as hard as I have to be where I am right now. I have put more than my everything into each and every match I have had until this point. And that trend is going to continue."
"I might not win this match and I am okay with that. It's not about wins or losses, it's the impact we have on our peers, the impact we have on our fans. They pay to see us. Who are we to want anything more than to make sure they're satisfied?"
Now it was Xavier's turn to go to interrupt only to have Geki cut him off.
"I'm not finished. You call me a child but let me remind you, I am not your child. I have been so successful in this business, not with wins, but with the impact I have had on those around me. I have done everything I have set out to do."
"I know when I can be happy go lucky and I know when I have to be serious, that I learned from The Movement. This week, you're not going to get the happy go lucky Geki Nitoh, you're getting the Geki Nitoh who knows how to turn off his smile when it's time to be serious."
"You say I am a child, that I am going to break under the pressure. I give you my word Drug, I will not break. You will not manipulate me, you will not draw me into your games. So, say what you want Xavier, I will not give you the satisfaction of letting you get to me."
Geki scooted back in his chair, looking to Xavier with that bright smile of his.
"I think that about answers the question, right?. On with the next question, please."

"Next question then. Xavi.."
"Nah, shut the fuck up for a minute, I got this."
The interviewer looked rightfully offended as Xavier sat up in his chair, giving his undivided attention to Geki.
"Here's a question for ya. How does it feel to be the single most naive bitch in this business? Oh, don't forget to smile! I'll do it with a smile! Friends this, friends that. I'll succeed in this business with a smile instead of a knife in the back."
"You're so fuckin' full of shit, so self righteous it's made you blind to the truth. This business isn't for guys like you. Run along and go teach preschool or some shit. Leave wrestling to guys who are willing to do what needs to be done."
"When it comes down to it, nobody is your friend in this business. Personal lives aside, the friends you make in wrestling are the same guys who are lookin' to take you out so they can get a championship, higher placement in the company, bigger paycheck, whatever the reason may be."
"And that's just with friends. Guys like me? I don't like you. I'll bust you in the back of the head with a fuckin' brick and leave you laying if it means me advancing in this company. I won't feel bad about it."
"It's Natural Selection out here, kill or be killed. I look at you Geki and you're just so fuckin' soft it eats at me. It makes me wanna grab you by that girly ass ponytail and just...physically break that stupid fuckin' smile with my fist."
"And the fucked up thing is? I'm one of the nicer guys you'll meet. Someone else? It'll be a pipe to the knee, a fuckin' car door slammed shut on your head, it'll be something to end your career...if not worse."
"This week is going to be your wake up call, Geki. I'm gonna break your cherry. I'm gonna show you what Devin should have showed you, what jailbait Saito should have showed you. And I'm gonna have a good ass time doing it. Why? Because I want you to open your fuckin' eyes."
He shot a glance at the camera.
"And no, that wasn't an Asian joke."
"Geki, Redefine 29...I'm going to show you this world for what it really is. Not a land of candycanes and gumdrops. It's a fuckin' wasteland filled with scavangers, liars, cheats, sluts..."
That smirk grew much more malicious as he changed gears.
"I keep an eye on Twitter, I see shit. Lemme ask ya Geki. How does it feel to see the girl you're into fawning all over Glenn Legend like that? Must really punch you in the stomach, don't it? Oh we'll take them by storm! You'll do great! She makes me smileee."
Laroux walked forward, standing in front of Geki.
"But hey, if it doesn't work out for you with ole girl, just wait, they come around like Clockworkx."
Laroux winked.

Geki shot up out of his chair, getting right into the face of Xavier. That usually bright smile completely absent, only a look of pure seriousness showing on his face.
"What happened to personal lives aside? That is my personal life, it has nothing to do with you, you don't have the right to talk about it. It does not have anything to do with our match so stay out of my business."
"Since when is being a good guy a bad thing? You act like I'm doing something incredibly offensive by being a happy, positive person..when in fact, it's none of your business what kind of person I am."
"Not everyone wants to be the offensive, low brow, arrogant person. It is okay to be a good guy, Xavier. If guys like me, happy go lucky, always ready to help the opponent across from me, with a smile, are all gone? Then guys like you will run around, draining everything from these companies, never putting anything back into them."
"It's selfish and if it continues, there will be no places left for anyone to wrestle in anymore. Will you be happy then? Will you be okay, living with the thought that guys like you are responsible for the death of wrestling as a whole?"
Geki stayed in the face of Xavier, not backing down an inch.
"Of course you will because your vain ego will have been stroked. Our match will not be just another ego stroke for you. I am going to show you that there is nothing wrong with how I handle my professional career."
"I am not here to trade shots back and forth with you. I am here to talk about our match. I am here to talk about how there's something about you that made Mr. Pariah want to give you a second chance."
Geki held his arms out, presenting himself.
"I am your second chance. The win will not be handed to you. If you want to beat me and move forward..then you are going to earn it. You are going to have to be able to withstand everything I throw at you."
"You're an accomplished wrestler with years of experience and nothing can take that away from you..but I have something to prove. I'm going to prove that you don't need to burn the field to the ground just to harvest a few ears of corn."
"You're going to get better than my best, Xavier. You're going to have a fight brought to you and it's as simple as that. No mind games, no playing around, just me proving that I can thrive just as easily with my smile as you can with your knife."
"If you want your Golden Dreams realized, Xavier, you have to beat me and I know you will do whatever it takes..but what if you don't? What if your way doesn't work anymore? Will you consider my way? You should."
Geki smiled brightly.

"You honestly think I'm going to consider being the nice guy? The good guy? Get outta here with that. I've tried the good guy bit before. I just didn't feel right lying to the guy in front of me. Oh, I hope we have a great match! Maybe we can hang out and circle jerk after the show! "
"That might be okay for you and people like you but that's not me. I'd much rather talk shit to any and everyone who I might consider competition. Not everyone wants to be the good guy, Geki. Not everyone wants to be a hero. I am over fuckin' joyed being the villain. It suits me, fits like a glove."
"I've spent damn near my entire life and in every company I have ever wrestled for there's always been the hero who has tried to bring me down, to save the day. It doesn’t work Geki."
"You can't save the day because without the villain, where would you get your fight? The hero fights the villain. At the end of the day, without guys like me, the world would be just a big group of good guys with their thumbs up their asses, waiting for one of the heroes to become...less."
"Here, let me put it in terms that you would understand better. What good are the Power Rangers without Rita to fight?"
Laroux’s smirk grew a bit, nodding his head as to agree with his own words.
"Enough of that though. Geki, I've seen a few of your matches but that little flip'n'fly shit isn't going to work on me. I'm not going to chase you, I'm going to let you come to me. I'm going to get in your head and make you do something stupid."
"That's when I'm going to bust ya ass. That's when I'm going to show you just how out matched you are Geki, both mentally and physically. You're too fresh to be ableta hang with a guy like me. It's too much for you to handle."
"You still have a lot to learn about this business. You still have alotta growing left to do. I'm going to help you with that. Hell, I have been helping you with my advice. But, I'm going to help you even more."
"At Redefine 29, I'm going to make you grow. You're gonna need to toughen yourself quick or I am going to eat you alive. This is that moment when the child is thrown into the river. Sink or swim."
"It's time to learn how to fight for your life. That whole fight to make my supporters proud! That's not going to work anymore, not against a guy like me. I'm not fighting to make anyone proud, I'm fighting to beat you. I don't care how I have to do it. By hook or crook, I'm going to show you I'm just better."
"It's time to grow up Geki. Sink or swim, it's your choice, man."

Geki shook his head, chewing on the inside of his lip, the words of Xavier clearly starting to get to him. He took a deep breath, sighing out before flashing that bright smile.
"You are absolutely right Xavier. This business is all about the great struggle between hero and villain but not everything is as it seems. It makes for good drama. I'm sure you've seen the recent boom of superhero shows, whether it's on Netflix or television. The world loves the hero versus villain dynamic and wrestling is no different. But what if a certain villain is more than just a villain?"
"Case in point, your fiancé, Kaci Deveraux. She's this smiling, bubbly, always with a nice word, person. Surely you're not much of a villain if you managed to be with her at that level."
"Or what about your budding friendship with Carmen Cambridge? It's like she said, you came to Redefine for a match with her and it seems like you two are getting along. Even to the point of you two going on a shopping trip if she beats Drew Emerald. That's not very villainous, Xavier. That's quite friendly actually."
"Or the fatherly talk you had with Luke Wisia? A villain wouldn't want to see that man get his life together. If you were such a villain, you would be mocking him at every turn for his downfall. Instead, you offered him a kind word of encouragement and left it alone when he pushed you away."
Geki kept his eyes in front of him, looking at the man he was to face in just a few days.
"I don't know the whole story on each of those examples but I do know that it seems you're trying too hard to push yourself as a villain. What's wrong with being the hero?"
"The smiled and praise you get from others, always being there to offer a hand and a kind word to anyone who needs it. It is just so fulfilling. I honestly think you would be a great hero, Xavier. You might be a little rough around the edges but so is Tony Stark and he is a great hero."
"The only thing stopping you from being the hero is whatever it is that's making you portray yourself as this low down, heartless bad guy. You're not a bad guy, Xavier. After what I saw last week, before and after your match with Jacob Daniels, everything about you just screams reluctant hero."
"Are you scared to be the hero? I can understand that. There’s a lot of weight on your shoulders."
"It's okay to be the villain, Xavier, but what's not okay is lying to yourself. Let me ask you an honest question. What kind of villain walks around backstage, holding a little girl in his arms, looking like the most content, peaceful human being in this company?"
"That was your daughter, Terra, right? Don't you think she would like to have a hero father?"
