Carmen Cambridge is back at her hotel after Redefine 28. Not only did she further agitate an injury to her ribs, her team also failed to pick up the win as Drew Stevenson would ignore the referee's call to get out of the ring, and would disqualify him.
"All I've been hearing since Drew Stevenson came into Redefine was that he was the best, future World Champion, unbeatable...yada yada yada. Unbeatable Drew? Well, you just blew that one for us tonight. We LOST because you decided to make a statement over picking up a win. Lemme ask you boo boo, 10 years from now, the record books are still going to say Death by Velocity defeated Cambridge and Stevenson. It won't say Stevenson was the last one standing after attacking the champions and costing his team the match. We LOST yo...get that through your skull.
I'ont know about you but I'm not a loser. I had an injury, and I still was fighting with everything I had, wasn't giving up, because I wanted that W. For as perfect as you claim to be, you aren't a perfect tag partner. Blind tags, not listening to the ref's instructions, costing your partner a win...that stuff makes you terrible at tag matches, so I never wanna team with your ugly self again.
Good thing for me next week, I get a chance to make history to make up for the BS you put me through tonight. Next week, we go one on one Drew, and not only that, but I got it cleared with Pariah that this match is win by pinfall or submission only. That way you can't weasel your way out of the match and continue claiming to be unbeaten, or that no one has pinned you yet. I'ma pin that ass, straight up.
Tonight was our chance to go into End Game with momentum on our side. If you were as smart as you like to think you is, you would know that momentum means everything. Beating them down after we get DQ'd makes you look better tonight, maybe, but now they can shove the win down our throats in a few weeks time, leading up to our title matches. No bueno boo boo.
I'ma tell you like this Drew, miss me with the lame insults. This week you're facing a real one. I don't play and I don't tolerate foolishness going into a match. You made the comment on twitter that you hope people aren't squeamish watching this, and I agree...cuz I'm finna kick you so hard you probably gonna pee your dang self in the ring.
Listen boo boo, you aren't the best in Redefine. We could have been main eventing again, but since we LOST thanks to you, now we're playing second fiddle to DBV, JR who is wack, Fao, and some returning dude who is gonna be gone after a match or two. Thank yourself for us being dropped down the card."

"Oh boo hoo, why don't you cry me a river Carmen!"
Rubbing his eyes as if acting like he is crying, he continues to speak.
"That seems to be all you're good at these days. It's not my fault that you can't see the bigger picture. All you are is one of those people who sees the here and now and instead of trying to weave the whole story together, you want everything to happen just like that."
Snapping his fingers, he continues to speak.
"Sometimes Carmen, you have to take a step back and create a masterpiece. Sometimes Carmen, you have to know what the bigger picture is when going into the painting but that's something you don't understand because you don't know how to create a masterpiece like I do.
Yeah I know, go ahead and say that I am underestimating you like you have screamed for the past God knows how long. Go ahead and cry on Twitter like you always do because if you want the honest to God truth Carmen? I never felt that you were my equal in the ring."
He flashes that traditional Stevenson smile.
"Now one thing that you need to get through your head is that I don't care if they try forcing that victory down my throat. Since you obviously can't see it, they didn't flat out beat either one of us and the sad part is that even Ray Charles can see that.
But don't worry Carmen because you won't have to team up with me, ever again. You see, when you and I come face-to-face at Redefine? You are going to understand just what I'm about. You are going to understand that when I say that I'm going to do something, I do it and I damn sure don't need a one hundred and twenty pound woman, soaking wet leeching off of me in order to get the job done."
He smiles.
"The biggest difference between the two of us Carmen is that you are all talk while I am a man of action. I remember you telling the world how you were going to walk out as the television champion and what exactly happened there? Well from the looks of things, Caliban still holds that right so what makes me think that your threats hold any substance this time?
Because you say they do? Please, everybody knows that you are nothing more than a glorified drama queen who cries and whines when she doesn't get her way. Now with that being said; I'm glad that Pariah gave you the match that you wanted because if you were a woman who really understood this business then you would know that it's much better to be fresh than hurt when going for a championship. However, since you don't see the big picture? Take a step back, really assess the situation and watch as I do something that you rarely ever do and that's win!"
Wink and fade.

The scene opens up inside the Second City Arena, home to most of the Redefine events. In the ring is Carmen Cambridge. She's wearing an Ugly Christmas sweater (pictured above). Outside the ring, is a group full of children who said they want to be wrestlers one day. Cambridge smirks out to the young students, smirking.
"It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood, isn't it boys and girls?"
Carmen puts on her most proper voice as the kids' eyes light up with excitement.
"Normally, I'm a big, bad, tough girl wrestler, but today, I'm your teacher. Our lesson is on Mr.Rogers, sorry, Mr.Stevenson. Drew Stevenson is one of the baddest of them all in wrestling. Not only does he turn his nose up at everyone, and his nose looks like an overgrown carrot anyway."
The children let out a burst of laughter at Carmen's joke.
"He also cheats. Haven't you guys been told that cheating is bad?"
A student raises his hand and Carmen points to him, giving permission to speak.
Student 1: "We know cheating is bad, but isn't it true that you have cheated before?"
Carmen nods her head.
Carmen: "I have, but if you have watched my last few matches, I haven't cheated at all. I LOVE wrestling, and love proving that I'm the best. Do you know what Drew did in just our last match? He didn't listen to the referee and he kept beating people up when he wasn't supposed to. He lost the match. That right there is a valuable lesson, cheaters NEVER win!
Now Drew also has expensive tastes. He usually wears an ugly sweater, much like the one I'm wearing. Boo Boo Stevenson then lights up a fancy cigar and smirks with his square jaw-ed self, video after video after video...its like DANG, can we get some originality!? Kids, copying others or yourself over and over again isn't groundbreaking or original, its boring, isn't it!"
STUDENTS: "BOOORING! DREW STEVENSON IS BOOORING!"
Carmen flashes a grin into the camera that is capturing all of this.
Carmen: "Mr.Rogers-I mean, Stevenson isn't original, he cheats, he's arrogant for no reason, and he flat out isn't the best wrestler in Redefine. What Boo Boo Stevenson needs to realize is that at Redefine 29th, two contenders for championships walk into that ring, and only one of us can walk out a winner.
You talked about creating a masterpiece, Drew. What kinda masterpiece was a DQ loss? The eff? No one will call that a masterpiece years down the road. You know what they will call a Masterpiece? When I hand you that very first pin or submission loss of your Redefine career. That's a moment we'll remember years from now, and THAT is a freakin Masterpiece. By the way, smoking...cigars included is bad for your health Boo Boo Stevenson.
Kids, what side are you on at Redefine 29!?"
STUDENTS: "We're Team Cambridge!"
Carmen: "Bet!"

Sitting in the back of a stretch limousine, Stevenson was undoing his tie and removing his jacket while immediately speaking. "Aww well isn't that just adorable, you are teaching a bunch of children to believe in a loser like you." Removing his jacket and tie, he suddenly puts on poor people's clothing. "Let me ask you a question Carmen, what does my nose or the clothes I wear have anything to do with this match? I mean, if you really want to get technical based on looks - you look like a velociraptor out of Jurassic Park. Mortal Kombat called, they're looking for you Reptile!" Chuckling, he reaches over and reveals his phone to the camera which shows a picture of a velociraptor from Jurassic Park. "Yes Carmen, I'm very well aware of the fact that looks have absolutely nothing to do with wrestling ability; I'm simply showing you just how stupid that you sound. But let's talk about reality Carmen because I love reality, do you?" Hopping out of the limousine, he walks into a very nasty house and almost puked upon going in. What's going on in the background is well, definitely blurred out because it's very graphic in nature but somebody is definitely earning their drug money. "Since my fancy clothes seems to offend you, let me come directly to the environment that you seem to favor. Carmen, you want nothing more than to be labeled as the absolute best that the company has to offer but the problem is? You fail every single time an opportunity comes your way. My original statement still stands, why should I believe anything you have to say? Because you have a bunch of third-graders believing in you? Please, those are the exact same kids who still believe that Santa Claus is real and what you are giving those poor children is nothing more than false hope." Looking over at the disgusting people doing disgusting things, he shakes his head. "But that's what you do, isn't it Carmen? You make all of these empty promise, you tell everybody that you're going to do one thing and then you fall flat on your face disappointing them. See Carmen, the one thing that you need to get through your head is that I can actually beat Caliban where as you have failed on more than one occasion. So don't suddenly preach to me about being a winner or "Gucci" because you know nothing of the two. And for the record, practice what you preach because for getting on to me over originality? You damn sure do the same thing when you constantly call everybody boo-boo and say "Gucci" like you actually know the first thing about anything with class. So here's what's going to happen Carmen, this "boring" wrestler is going to shatter the hopes and dreams of all of those stupid little children who actually believe in you and the only person you have to blame is yourself." Looking disgusted, Stevenson leaves.

"So, Drew criticizes me for talking about looks going into a wrestling match, but then literally goes and talks about mines. Really?"
Carmen shakes her head for the camera.
"It's called being entertaining. Giving the fans something to enjoy. Too many times they get these lil boring match hype video's, and are probably asleep before the end of the video, especially when it comes to yours, Drew. So I was being different, setting a new trend, putting on a show, its what I DOES! And it worked...because you are following me now, boo boo. Not only did you talk about my looks after saying it wasn't relevant, but you went out of your way to try and create some entertainment, going into some low-class, hood somewhere, insinuating that I have no class. That's a got-dang lie and we both know it. What you did was go to some hoe-house, trying to gain some attention or something. You want my attention? You got it.
You say I fail every time an opportunity comes my way? I say do your research. Being a former Redefine Tag Team Champion means at least one time an opportunity came my way, I cashed out. The man you're facing for the World Title at End Game? I've already beaten him. What's even funnier is you call me a 'loser' yesterday, but then this morning on twitter you said you know I have talent. Cmon Drew, someone is contradicting themselves are we?"
Carmen smirks.
"Its kinda cray cray though, usually the fans hate me going into a match. They respect me, but they wanna see me lose because I'm so much better than everyone else and I'm not afraid to tell the world. But this week, yo...everyone wants me to meet you. Not because you're so good, but because you're annoying. You came into Redefine saying they should just hand you the title, disrespecting everyone that has been here putting work in. Love me, hate me, I don't care for serious...but even I show respect to the wrestlers that ran this place before I got here. I didn't come in demanding a title to be handed to me, all I asked for was a CHANCE to win it. Big difference. I wanna fight for mines, and you want it handed to you.
I can't even hate on your career, what you've accomplished in the ring. When it comes time to wrestle, you does your thing. You hold it down. The problem is, you think you can't be beat. Trust me, I've felt that way before too and then when it happens, it hurts twice as bad. It stings. It eats at you. After our match, it'll be eating at you like its starving boo boo, but don't worry becaue I'ma feed you the biggest slice of humble pie I can cook up. Call me chef Carmen Cambridge. Bet...on...that."
Carmen smirks for the camera, knowing her video is going to create a stir.

Sitting in front of a large Christmas tree, Stevenson is disappointed that Carmen didn't get his sarcasm.
"Do you know what disappoints me the most Carmen? The fact that you can't even understand sarcasm when it's blatantly pointed out to you. One of the biggest things about our industry is listening and that is something that you obviously don't do all that well.
You see Carmen, I blatantly told you and the world that the only reason I was bashing your looks is because it's stupid. I was pointing out how stupid that you sounded but clearly; that went unnoticed because you choose not to open up them ears and listen."
Throwing up his arms, he simply shakes his head.
"What can you do, right? I mean, honestly, do you really think that I am going to base your talent on the fact that you look like a velociraptor? Of course not! The difference between you and me is that I know that looks have absolutely nothing to do with the talent that somebody has in the ring."
Walking in the background, several children are opening Christmas gifts.
"Now yes, I did say that you have talent because you do but that doesn't change the fact that you are still a loser and you have failed in the last several opportunities that have come your way.
No don't feel bad Carmen because everybody is a loser when they step into that ring against me. I have said it once and I will say it again; I am at a level that nobody else has ever reached in this business."
He pauses.
"You and many others have always told me, don't bring up past accomplishments because they don't mean anything here in Redefine but what do you do? You talk about things that you achieved once upon a time and that's the keyword, once upon a time. The real question is, what have you done lately?
See, that's where I got you because you haven't done anything important as of late and we both know that. Yeah, I got us disqualified but big deal, I painted a much bigger picture that Caliban and Jordan are taking very seriously which is something that you could never do."
He smiles.
"But if it makes you feel better at night to think that you are as good as I am then continue to do so. Continue to preach to anybody who will listen that I am following you because the reality of the situation is that I have no reason to follow you anywhere.
Soon Carmen, you're going to try feeding me that piece of humble pie as you put it but you are going to fail. Also, stop making promises that you can't keep because for those people who bet on you? You have my word that they are going to lose everything because why bet on a possibility when you can bet on the sure thing?"
Smirk, wink, and fade.

OOC: THIS PICKS UP WHERE THE "TRAINING" CD with Carmen and JD LEFT OFF. YOU CAN FIND THAT CD in the CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT SECTION ON THESE BOARDS.
We open with Carmen Cambridge, still in the same fitness center she just completed her workout with Jacob Daniels in. She waves playfully at the cellphone camera recording her.
"So, I'm having one of my fans record this video for me, because, unlike Drew, I actually have fans. If you can't tell, I'm in a gym, one of the finest in California actually, because that's how I roll."
Carmen takes a seat on the bench, next to her bag.
"In order to be the best, you have to work hard. I'm not questioning your work ethic, Drew, because obviously you wouldn't have accomplished all that you have if you were lazy. What I'm telling you is, I don't think right now anyone works harder than me. Not only do I wrestle in Redefine, I also wrestle elsewhere, that's two matches a week boo boo. TWO. DOS. That kind of hard work can't be overlooked. On top of that, in my free time, what do I do? I workout with some of the best in the world. New signee to Redefine, Dead Eye being one of those people. And today, I worked out with Jacob Daniels.
I know you Drew, you heard the lil' rumors about my ribs and you plan on using it to your advantage, guess what boo boo? Not a smart plan. Not only are they feeling better, but in case you still try and go for them, I've learned a new counter today that will stop you from getting to them. That's what happens, when you plan for one thing, I'ma make you change your gameplan mid-match.
Redefine isn't like every other place you've wrestled. You represent the wrestlers that paved the way for us, I can't deny that. The thing is though, that means you represent the past. Me? I represent the future. The things you've done, I'm doing them and at 22 years old I haven't come close to my prime yet, while you are past yours.
You can feed me or anyone else that BS about me doing nothing lately, but how true is that? I JUST won the TV title qualifying tournament, and I had the hardest path of anyone in it beating Abby and JD. A former tag champion in Abby, and a future champion in JD. That has been lately, boo boo. What else have I done? Wrestled in the main event of the last show, just like you. Except while you were trying to make 'statement's that won't be remembered, I was tryna win the match for our team. YOU lost us the match, not me. That's LATELY, boo.
This week, Redefine 29, not only am I serving you humble pie...but I'ma do it by pinning you for the 1...2...3"
Carmen winks and smiles, mocking Drew as the scene fades.

"There's one constant that I have noticed about people in this company and that is that all of you are like a broken record, constantly repeating the same thing over and over again."
As we open up to a record player, we see it simply playing the same thing over and over again as Stevenson sits next to it.
"There was a song back in the late 90s where the lyrics went, "I won't become the thing I hate" and yet Carmen, you have done exactly that.
Can you really sit there with a straight face and tell everybody that I am past my prime? No, you can't and that's because I have beaten every single person that I have faced in this company and you know that. But you know something Carmen, there was another guy who recently tried to tell everybody that I was past my prime; can you guess who that was?"
Leaning forward, he places his hands down in his lap.
"That's right Carmen, J.P. Caliban; the man who you seem to despise is the very man who you are becoming just like.
So with that being known, how does it make you feel? I mean, at least I can always tell somebody that I have never become just like the thing I hate but you? You follow suit with the rest of the bandwagon jumpers and that's where you belong because you're not the real definition of Gucci, I am, and that's because I am a unique man and a man of class - something you know nothing about."
He pauses.
"But as you continue to preach the same tune over and over again Carmen, I want you to know that don't worry about those ribs because that was never my game plan to begin with. I mean, do you honestly think that I would target an area that I knew you would cover up?
Come on Carmen, I am far better than that. I already knew that you would do everything in your power to make sure that I didn't bust those ribs again and I'm not, my game plan is far different, one that you will never see coming. However, had I decided to bust those ribs again?
You're one precious little counter would not be enough to stop me! You see Carmen, my game plan is so much more complex than that and believe me when I tell you that you will figure that out real fast."
He smiles arrogantly.
"Now do me a favor Carmen, spare me all of that crap about what you have supposedly achieved lately because it's not an actual achievement. So what? You have won a couple of matches here and there, that's not really doing anything lately.
But I'll tell you what Carmen, get a notepad and take notes this week because I am going to show you how to do something important."
With a small wink, our scene fades.
