FADE IN: A living room, a Christmas tree. "Pretty" Ricky Stanton lays back in his recliner. Wrapping paper is everywhere.
PRS: You know, it was a wonderful Christmas here. Justinia helps out at a local domestic violence shelter and we had the opportunity to have those ladies and their children over to give them an epic Christmas. Always and awesome thing to do when you're a man at my level. And everyone has a Christmas wish so I do hope yours came true. At least everyone's but Alexis Terry.
You see, Alexis has probably written her Christmas wish down, checked it twice. Maybe left it on a plate with some cheap General Brand cookies for Santa. She probably wrote down about how she wants to beat me - How I will be her first "victim". You know I love a great start to a story like the next person but when it involves me, it's surely going to end up being a tragedy. And let me be clear that wishes go on both sides here: My wish is to get my first win here at REDEFINE since I was denied that by Dead Eye. He got me, and I'm not going to lie about that. The kid has something there that will be an issue for this fed. However, all good things come to an end. So Alexis, don't get your hopes up too much after watching that match from afar and thinking that I'm easy prey. That is certainly not the case because you're going up against the Prettiest Wrestler in History! The COOOL WALKIN, SMMMMOOOOTH TALKIN, ALLLLLLLLLLLL THE GIRLS COME STALKING, "That's not a candy cane in my pocket" TONGUE-A-SAURUS! Make your New Year's resolutions! Enjoy the parties! Because my first win of the year, and at REDEFINE, will come from a Pretty Boy drop to you on the mat and me pinning you with pleasure, ONE....TWO...THREE....and it's going to be so, soooooooooooooooooooo pretttyyyyy......
(Ricky snacks on a cookie as the camera fades)

Return to Form Written By Chase “So are you ready?”It was quite the proper question to ask - was she ready? As Alexis looked at the snow falling and the buildings passing her by as her limo drove through the night in cold, deserted Newcastle, she kept asking herself the very same question. It had been almost three months since she last stepped into a wrestling ring. As Galveston Island Wrestling came to a close she believed it was time to finally hang her boots up. Her daughter Laken had finally came back into her life and time was beginning to become a factor. At 39, her body was beat up. Her career was something to be proud of. But walking away for any professional athlete is never easy. She took a sip of Gin & Tonic in her hand and her gazed turn from the limo window to David Sinclair, the man who has been by her side through all of it. “David, do you think this is smart?”
She could tell by his demeanor he was unsure of how to handle the very loaded question. David cleared his throat and looked at Alexis with honest eyes. “The doctor warned you. He said you shouldn’t do this but if you truly want to go back and continue to compete I will continue to be by your side every step of the way. Redefine sent the contract yesterday. All you have to do is sign it. They already have a match lined up - Ricky Stanton.”
She knew the name but couldn’t put a face to it. She returned to looking through the window, this time resting her head on it. Her mind began to race with more questions - not just “Is this smart?” but “What will Laken think?”, a question she was afraid to ask. Laken wanted a mom and Alexis was so close to being able to give her a real one, not one on the road 200 days a year. Is it worth putting her through the wringer again? “Alexis...Ricky Stanton is going to be a good opponent to test yourself against. He talks fast, portrays the pretty boy wannabee, and yeah he has some talent - but think of it as a warm up. You got this. You have more talent in your left pinky. If you can survive him then you know you're going to be fine. Don’t beat yourself up worrying about things outside your control.”
If only he knew…

Welcome, Alexis Written By Chase Music: "From a Closet In Norway" By You+Me
Chicago was a beautiful city.
Alexis looked out her hotel window at the street below. Men passed her by with cell phones glued to their ear, busy with the bustle of life out business. Women played with their sons and daughters who were eager with all of life's beauty ahead of them. However, Alexis sat alone watching the rain trickle down. David had returned to HQ with a signed contract in hand. It was official - Alexis Terry would begin competing for Redefine Pro and her first match was a go - Alexis Terry would taken on “Pretty” Ricky Stanton.
She lowered her head and sighed. She hated the way she felt. She should be excited and full of life. She should be ready to do what she loved again. But in the past few days since she left Newcastle to return to the states she still hadn’t spoken to Laken about what was going on. All she wanted was her daughter's approval, for her to say “it’s okay mum”. Alexis rubbed her face with her hand. It was late but her mind was racing and she needed to do something if she wasn’t going to sleep. She grabbed her phone - not to call Laken even though that would be a splendid idea but she held it in front of her face.
Promo time.
“Corinthians 12:10 states ‘Therefore I am well content with weaknesses, with insults, with distresses, with persecutions, with difficulties, and for when I am weak, then I am strong. Now, by no means am I a religious person. I’m probably the exact opposite. I lie, I cheat, and I have no problem doing whatever to win. Winning is everything in this sport. If you aren’t winning what are you doing? The difference and why that little saying resonates with me is because we are all weak. Everybody has problems. Everybody has a poison. Mine? I drink. I smoke. I’m a terrible mother. I have a checklist that runs 20 or 30 reasons long. I have a special corner of Hell reserved for me.
People know my name. I don’t need to sit here and introduce myself. Ricky Stanton though, people know you too. Insider trading? Women? The glory of being a false prophet in your daddy’s company. I was a daddy’s girl too so I get it. People know you which means people know your weakness.
You crave success.
You crave power.
You so desperately want to be better than you really are.
The difference between you and I Mr. Stanton is I’m not blinded by glory, fame, and the lure of a lavish lifestyle. I turn my weakness into my gift. Nobody can know me better than I know myself. My addiction is not my downfall but it is the light that will allow me the opportunity to defeat you in my journey to becoming champion again. Keep watching and praying that you may not enter into temptation; the spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak."

FADE IN: An evening social. Black tuxedos and evening gowns line the dining room of "Pretty" Ricky Stanton. Ricky stands out on his balcony that gives him an clear look over into his front driveway. The lines of trees that lead to the front gate continue to give up their leaves as people drive in to celebrate another holiday party. Ricky takes a drag from his stogie and sighs. "She really thinks she can get you," a voice says in the distance. He turns around to discover it's Justinia Stanton, "The Dutchess" - the only wrestler in UWF History to purchase a World Title legally. Since her, that loophole changed. PRS: "Yeah, she does...probably sees me like many do - a bridge to the other side of their career."(takes another drag from his stogie)
"Is she wrong? You've done what they're doing. She's no different."
(Ricky nods in agreement.)
PRS: You're right. She is no different. She's just another wrestler. Why should anyone think different? The fact of the matter is that we're both up in age. Everyone wants something out of life and maybe she thinks a guy like me can provide her the boost she needs for herself. I heard she's been out the game for a minute but I won't take that into consideration. Oh yeah, she has a daughter too.
(Justinia smirks)
JS: Not like me I'm sure
(Ricky laughs and pats Justinia on the shoulder)
PRS: No, I'm sure not like you. Go enjoy yourself, I'll be back in there shortly.
(Justinia smiles as she walks back into the dining hall, closing the doors behind her. Ricky looks out and keeps smoking his stogie. ) "She's asking for it. She must want me to retire her. She wants me to beat her senseless in front of her daughter. Maybe she needs this to prove she's done. Hmph, who would ever take on a match against me and think it's normal? I'm on a whole other level, far from where this mama bear is...Nonetheless, I will not play her lightly, she face me at my level and either she'll bake and rise or fall flat. This chick...she should have taken me up on that dinner date, at least then I would understand more about her motives here int the fed. Everyone has their reasons. I don't think hers are that solid. There's more to her other than just 'winning'. She's fighting again for something, for someone. I will have to truly break her before I beat her.
And when that happens, everyone will see her for what she is...a spark, a glimpse. A walking bad idea from the beginning. I wonder what she's doing right now knowing that she's facing me....this will be an interesting New Year indeed.
(Ricky put his stogie on a dinner plate and heads back inside...)FADE OUT"

FADE IN. A Studio: Ricky Stanton sits in a director's chair smiling at the camera.
PRS: Alexis I find you interesting. You quote Bible verses that I are dear to me and my faith trying to make the point that we're all weak. You must be hungry so maybe I should give you a Snickers bar. You're looking and sounding like Captain Obvious right now. Why make this stupid point? Because you ARE weak. You think that exposing your weakness to me will make you stronger, clear your mind. You're an idiot for thinking such a thing. You're one of those many people out there that thinks you have to punch a ticket for glory where people like me already know we have the victory. You should be ashamed of your self depiction, already citing your special place in hell for yourself.
If you already think that your life's journey ends in hell then how will beat me? How will you find the courage? You lack hope in your sorry ass life already and yet there's some light that's going to come on when you face me? I will stomp out whatever spirit you have in the ring and raise your bloody face to your family and point at them. I will tell them about how they failed you. I will accuse them of producing the sorry product of a wrestler in the ring they would have just watched get pummeled. I will sit there and laugh at the thought how you attempted to expose my already public life. The problem with you Alexis is no different than any other wrestler facing off against greatness: You're not used to it.
I am success. I am power. I am glory.
I've claimed these things in life doing those things you would consider unruly. You're fighting a war with rules. I'm not. I never have. I've already rose to the top. I came back down to do it again JUST TO HAVE SOMETHING TO DO! So in that journey I face off against people like you that live in the valley looking up at my castle. And when I speak to you it's a confirmation as to why you're going to always be in the Valley. You look up and want to know what it's like. You want to feel what the life is like at my level. Because you can't you have lived to resent it. You chastise something you've never had. Not even a taste. It sickens me, wrestlers like you. So I now face you, a person who has exposed herself to me hoping that it will help.
I will show you the fruits of your labor and you will wish you had dug deeper into your heart. When I'm done your heart will be in my hands and I will slowly squeeze the blood out of it. And it's going to be SOOOOOOO, SOOOOOOOO PRETTY.....

Idioms Written By Chase Music: "Sweet Child O Mine" By Taken By Trees “Greatness can be described in many different ways.”Stepping into camera view is Alexis Terry. It’s a cold night in Chicago and Alexis is wrapped it a long black jacket. Adam’s Park at night was beautiful and Alexis began to stroll down the path in front of her. Her eyes shift to the scenario around her as her she speaks quietly. “Let’s be realistic here, shall we? You claim I am an average wrestler while you allow yourself to bath in the light of glory and power, success so to speak comes natural to you, right? I disagree. If anything Mr. Stanton, you are the one is average. From the way you dress, to the way you speak, and to the way you look at me and spout lame catchphrases - you are the epitome of a poser. You are somebody trying to be somebody else instead of walking the path laid for you. Do you believe in destiny? Do you believe in we are all on this earth to follow a path already paved for us? I do. I believe I am here to be one thing and one thing only - the greatest. I believe you are destined to, Ricky. But I believe you are destined to be the proverbial ‘loser’. You are good, never great. You are always the one who comes up ‘just short’, the underdog. And it fits you like a glove. That is your purpose. That is what you are and who you are.
Always the bridesmaid never the bride.” She lights a cigarette. “You claim I’ve never came face to face with greatness. Watch tape. Do your homework. I’ve come face to face with greatness many times and nine times out of ten I came out the victor. This Hall of Fame ring states the obvious. For five years I was on an island with the greatest competitors in this industry and I was the last person left standing. That might not mean anything to you but it means something to me - it means I am who I say I am. I’m the Queen and you will bow to me.
You are a pretender. You act like having weakness and showing it is a bad thing. It just shows your immaturity. You make idle threats about my spirit - I simply smile Mr. Stanton. These are threats you cannot back. You can lead a horse to water but you can’t make it drink. You can lead Ricky Stanton to Alexis Terry in the ring but you can not win. Want to know why?
Because when you put an animal in a cage with everything to lose that animal will fight like it has nothing to lose.” She throws her cigarette to the ground before stepping on it.
