Singles Match: Anton Chase vs Dante Drexler
Anton Chase left Riley Owens for dead at Cibernetico Assemble, and left the arena with his championship belt. Dante Drexler was the runner up in the Cibernetico Match,-and pretty damn dominant to boot- which would put him in pretty good positioning for a Heritage Championship Match. A win over Anton Chase would cement that status-leading into The Battle for Bludhaven on iPPV

(The scene opens up and we are viewing the 2CW Heritage championship, but as the cameras zoom out it's not Riley Owens who we see, it's Anton Chase. Anton who is wearing the Heritage championship, also he is wearing some blue jeans and a black t-shirt. Sitting on the couch of his hotel room, Anton has a big smile on his face relaxing where he sat)
Anton Chase: I bet your all was expecting that Riley Owens was the one who was holding the Heritage Championship, I bet you were expecting me to send this championship back to young Riley Owens, or be ordered to by management of 2CW. Guess again, because there is no way I am ever sending this championship back. Now Riley I know you'll be watching this and although you bested me in the ring, and you showed to me that you are one of the best young talents in the world, at the end of it I showed you what I am capable of. I am capable of ending careers before they got started, you had a taste of that last week. Now I know you're sitting burning with fire to come get this belt from me, well come get in boy, because no matter what you do, I will never hand this over to you, you might give me another shot, and even then, you won't stand a chance.
(Anton slaps the Heritage championship with his hand)
Anton Chase: Now that I have that out of the way, it's time my direction is focused on my next opponent, and my next opponent is bigger than me, he has the size advantage, my next opponent is Dante Draxler. And Dante I watched you last week and I saw you 5 on 5 matchup, and honestly I wasn't impressed, I thought you would dominate that match and get your shot at the Heritage championship, I mean seriously, all I hear is that your name Dante Draxler is the next challenger for it. But last week was an epic fail for you, you didn't live up to the hype.
(Anton pauses)
Anton Chase: You see Dante your nothing special, just an steroid using ape, and this week you facing one of the truly best around, the Heritage championship on my shoulder may still have Riley Owens on it but soon, it will have Anton Chase carved on it. Dante if you re-watch last week's show, you'll see, that I am dangerous. You may have the size, you may have the height, but you don't have what I have, and that's experience. Dante you're a fool if you think you can beat me, your a fool if you think you can enter my world and think you can destroy me, I'm too smart for that. I already have a plan for you, and you won't know it until it's too late.
(Anton smiles)
Anton Chase: Dante I'm your biggest challenge yet and I hope you take in what I'm saying but more importantly take in what I do to you this week. At Clash at the coliseum I'm not going easy on you, I'm not going to hold back anything and make the match to your liking. I'm entering this match with one sole purpose, and that's to win. Winning is everything to me Dante, and you may think that I lost last week would affect me, it doesn't. My drive is to win and I will succeed.
(Anton adjusts himself on the couch)
Anton Chase: I will not only succeed Dante but I will prove to you, that your size, height, and power don't mean jackshit. You will realize that, you will see that my height and size isn't a stumbling block, because I have knocked out bigger and badder men than you. Dante Draxler, I'm ready.
(Anton pauses)
Anton Chase: So Dante, I'm ready for our match this week, and I'm to kick your ass from pillar to post and show everyone that your not Heritage championship material, you're lucky your even on the show after your loss last week, so Dante I hope you're ready, because I am.
(Scene fades to black)

Entry 3. *Breathing heavily.* Well… I guess if nothing else this will be a good lesson. Tonight your dad lost his second match. What could have been the biggest match of anyone’s career, I lost in my second match in the company. But hey D, that’s alright. Like I said coming into this, I made a name for myself at least and hopefully I opened a few eyes. Plus that’s something hopefully by the time you listen to this you’ll know, winning isn’t always everything in a competition. If you try your best and make the most of any opportunity, win lose or draw that’s all you can do.
That doesn’t mean it doesn’t suck though haha. But hey, your dad’s not going to let this affect him. I love you big man. * I hit the off button to stop recording and sit back on the bench, still drenched in sweat recording the message just after my match. I sit back for a moment and close my eyes, thinking. Yeah… losing really does suck. *
Wednesday, August 6th 2014.
Dante Drexler: Son of a… just LOAD ALREADY. * I sit on my steps outside of my house, clicking the button on my computer as Norton Anti-Virus’ performs a mandatory search, practically freezing my entire computer. My garbage Gateway laptop is the same one I’ve had for four years, and it’s been junk for three of them. But hey, at the end of the day it gets me by I guess which is all that matters. The virus scan finally winds down, and I let out a sigh of relief. I click my webcam option and stand up, setting the computer on the steps so I can wait another 20 hours for this stupid thing to load. I nervously straighten my Venom tank, thinking in my mind the pin points I thought out before hand for my first actually “promo” since joining 2CW. I was training with my 2CW friend Riley Owens a few days ago and he suggested I do an actual promo, get some people hyped for the match. So I figured it’s something I need to get used to, so might as well give it a shot. I’ll be the first to say I’m not the most charismatic or the best speaker, but wrestling is and always will be 75% in the ring, 25% outside. If you can’t get fans emotionally invested in you, they won’t react. They don’t react, you stop getting booked. Period. So if this is what I have to do to keep working my way up the 2CW roster, then so be it. Besides, after the last show there is quite a few things that I’d like to get off my chest. Maybe this won’t be so bad.
Finally my webcam loads, and pause for a moment taking a deep breath, collecting my baring’s one more time. Finally I click record and take a quick step back, pausing for the webcam to get going before I start. *
Dante Drexler: So… I guess I’ll precede this by saying congratulations to Damian Cole for winning the Cybernetico Assemble match last show. Hell of a victory, and while I can’t say I’m not bummed I didn’t win, I can’t say you didn’t earn it. It was a hell of a match, and in the end like every match only one person can win. But I will say this, while disappointed I didn’t win, it’s not going to slow me down in the slightest. DRex has one goal and one goal only, and that’s to rise through the ranks of the 2CW as fast as possible. Cybernetico Assemble would have been the easiest way, but as the old saying goes “The most gratifying victory is achieved when taking the hard road”. So I’m keeping my head up and looking forward to the future, which brings me to August 9th, Clash at the Coliseum. You see August 9th is going to be another huge step in my career as I go one on one with Anton Chase, the number one contender for the Heritage title. Now I pride myself on not selling competitors short, because truth be told anyone who is in this business is in it for a reason, and that’s because they’re talented. And before last show Anton, I’d have stood here and said I’d be proud to go one on one with you. I’d have told all the 2CW fans that whether or not they like your attitude that you were indeed a tremendous competitor, and you deserved that title shot you got last show. However Anton, I was there last show, and I saw what you did. You attacked Riley Owens, a man I have come to know as a friend. You took the cheap way out, and when you realized you weren’t able to best Riley on that night, instead of extending your hand and celebrating your efforts, you attacked him and you didn’t stop there. You then proceeded to steal the Heritage title, and walk out of the building claiming it your own. That’s not only low, but it destroys any legitimacy you have my friend. It completely erases everything you’ve done to get into that position because at the end of the day yes you earned that match. Yes you earned your shot at that belt. But you weren’t GOOD ENOUGH to earn holding that belt. I guess that’s where we differ Chase. You see I’ll be the first one to look anyone in the eye and say yeah I lost last week. Yeah it sucks. Yeah it’s pretty hard to swallow a victory when you went in so confident, so full of yourself thinking you were going to walk out with a victory. But fact is, if you’re not man enough to admit when you’ve lost then you don’t deserve that title Anton. Period. Now this past week I took it upon myself to take a little trip down to Florida and train with the man you tried to end the career of. I took the time away from my son and my family to try and get better at my craft. I know that’s probably a foreign concept for you Anton considering you seem to think of yourself as the be all end all in wrestling, but yeah that’s what I did. I did that because I believe no matter how good you are, there’s always someone better. And considering Riley defeated you, that in my book makes him better than you. Am I saying it’s going to be a walk in the park defeating you Anton? No. Am I going to go as far as to say you’re not worthy of facing me? Hell no. I’m a realist at the end of the day, and fact is this is my third match. You’re the veteran in this situation. But I do have to pose to you one simple question Anton. What’s going to be your excuse when I defeat you? Last week you lost to the Heritage Champion, you lost to one of the fastest rising stars not just in 2CW, but in wrestling period. You lost to Riley Owens. But this week? You’re facing a man that you yourself said isn’t impressive. A man who is just a “roided up freak”, which is really hurtful by the way because I totally haven’t heard it before. But my point is this Anton; if I beat you I put myself in line for a title show. I beat one of the top dogs in 2CW. And you? Well you just make yourself look like an ass by not giving me a chance of winning this. You just make yourself look like garbage by losing to a guy you spent your last month talking down. You lose to a guy who ‘Isn’t on your level’. You lose to a guy you publically stated isn’t worth your time because “he lost last week when he shouldn’t have”, and yet you sit at home with a piece of gold next to you with someone else’s name on it, and you act like you’ve earned it. You’ve screwed yourself Anton, because let me tell you this. After tasting defeat last week, I’m determined as hell to get back on the winning track. I’ll stop at nothing to prove that not only do I “deserve to be in the ring with you”, but I deserve a shot at the Heritage title. And in my opinion, that title would look a whole lot better across my waste than it does on yours. But hey, maybe that’s just the roids talking. See you Saturday Anton. I’m looking forward to it. * I lean forward and shut the camera off. Static… *
