Redefine Pro Wrestling....the cousin to Pro Wrestling X we all know it's true, we can sit here and try to hide those facts and if you are going to have a match in Cleveland AND you want to bring a name that has ties to Cleveland, to PWX to Redefine in fact then you might as well call Noah Hanson. And that is exactly what JPO did, see we go back a long way to the early days of PWX and that is part of the reason he called me, he knows that Noah Hanson is going to come to Cleveland and leave everything out there for the world to see.
Declan Black I don't know a thing about you and it's not out of disrespect or anything like that it's simply because I have not been here, not even looking at Redefine because of my commitments to another organization but yeah I caught your little off the cuff remark how did it go again?
“Consider him beat, just like those kids from Japan....”
Well for one Black you need to learn something real fast I am not some cupcake, not some noob that JPO pulled off the street. I am a three time Hall of Famer, my ties to Cleveland alone are legendary in this part of the country. I am not sure what you are smoking pal but you might want to share with the rest of the class because when we meet you are in for a history lesson and I am going to teach it to you. See its one thing to be confident and arrogant but it's a totally different to go out there and not even look at who the hell you are facing and maybe realize that maybe....just maybe you might be in over you head. If you paid even a little bit of attention to JPO you might have noticed that devilish sneer that JPO had on his face, you know what that means? That means that JPO put you firmly right where he wants you...
IN MY CROSSHAIRS....
When we meet in Cleveland mark my words things are NOT going to be going in your favor, choose your words carefully kid because I have been there and done that not just in Cleveland where I carved a legacy in Wrestling Midwest, where I made a career out of ending careers. And then just remember one more thing JPO reached out to me because he knows the type of vindictive asshole I am. Not gonna downplay this one little bit Black you are in for a fight, this is a special attraction match but this is also gonna be where some of you young bucks in Redefine learn your place about history. You can either learn from it or you can be a footnote in it...
IT'S YOUR CHOICE BLACK!
Cleveland is gonna see one of its legendary sons return victorious!

Declan Black I really hope that you are ready for the fight that is coming you way. I hope that you know that this week was areal wake up call for me personally and professionally. I have seen what I was doing wrong, I have made the necessary adjustments and that spells bad news for you this week. See I am going to have a week of rediscovery and retribution in pro wrestling and his match and the title match I have in HOW are where it all starts. You have no idea what is coming, I plan on fucking you up, I plan on showing JPO that he should not have come looking for me because it could be a mistake that causes the rest of his fed to crumble. See I am going to make you bleed Black, I am going to hurt you and then I am going to look at JPO because I know he will be watching, looking to see if the Noah Hanson in the ring is the one that he used to know and when I see his face I am going to end you and then I am going to climb to the top rope and hit the “Ladykiller” just like I have done so many times for PWX in the past. I will stand and have my hand raised in victory and I will point to JPO and mouth “I told you so” because he knew this was going to happen all along. He knew that this was where you would be in over your head Black and THAT is why he sneered the way he did was because he set you up.
But it's not your fault Black, dealing with JPO over the years like I have you will learn what I have learned and that is to never fully trust JPO. If he offers you something there is most certainly a catch, if he says he is going to have you face someone special then most certainly it will be the wrestling equivalent of a 'ringer' someone that is just a pro at what he does. And that is what I am, I am a complete professional.
I mean I have even had some history with some of the current stars in Redefine, I owned Nighthawk like I had bought and paid for his ass, Caliban and I were also in the last version of PWX but we never had a chance to fight each other.
The fact of the matter is that this is basically going to be a history lesson for you Black and I am going to teach you everything you need to know about PWX. From Violent K, Crazed, Skylar Kelly, Tyler Boyd, Corey Gein to Mike Norcia, Bryan Willett, Darin Zion and Brian Hollywood. This is where you get a lesson taught to you by Professor Hanson.
Class is in session...
Hopefully you don't fail my test....

You have a very impressive resume, Mr. Hanson. Far be it from me to take that away from you. Your reputation certainly precedes you, and from everything I've heard, which is, admittedly, limited, that reputation is a sterling one. You are most definitely a worthy opponent indeed for me. But, with that said, Mr. Hanson, I believe we should clarify a few things. Just because JPO made a call and booked you doesn't change that it ain't PWX on the marquee. It ain't some other promotion. When you step into the ring in Cleveland Saturday night, you are in the house that I built. REDEFINE Pro Wrestling is the name, and REDEFINE is exactly what I've done.
I took this promotion on my back from the first episode of this show, where I rescued the then 2CW Heavyweight Championship from the obscurity that Troy Stone mired it in. I went on to tie the all-time defense record for that title, and I set a new length record for it. That title means something now, that title is looked at with prestige and honor, because I gave it meaning and prestige and honor. I proudly answered challenges and conquered them. You can say what you want about Heritage Classic II, but my name was the one on the marquee for that show because I busted my ass for months so we would GET a #REvolution show in the first place.
Johnny Ajax is great. Sasha Foote is great. Ash Scion is great. Jordan Caliban is great. But none of them know what it was like for me being thrust forward without any warning as the face of the company. I'm not complaining, I'm very proud that I was chosen to play that role, and I'd do it again without blinking an eye. But Noah, when you're facing me, you're facing something very different than them, than any star in REDEFINE. When you step into this promotion, you are stepping upon a foundation I laid. So I'm not your "boy", or your "son", or any of those cute little adjectives you pop out with to cover up that you're a lot closer to your last fall than I am.
I will not take disrespect, however much intended, by a man who wants to hop on the bandwagon I got rolling. You talk about all the places you've been, the careers you've killed, but here, none of that matters. Here, you're just a guy trying to jump the line. And it is my duty to show you your place here. So, just in case you're getting a touch of the post concussion syndrome, I'll remind you: I am Declan Black. I am the most prolific champion in the history of this company. And maybe JPO did fool one of us when he made this match, but Mr. Hanson... I'm nobody's fool.

(The following is a blog post by Declan Black to DeclanBlack.com, made on September 17th, 2015.)
I get annoyed when I'm called "kid". And that shouldn't bother me, right? I mean, I'm a couple of years older than a lot of my peers. And I should be happy that there are people that still think, tacitly, that I have as many great years left as those peers, which I certainly do. I should think a lot of great things when I'm called "kid".
But yet, I don't.
I only think that I'm being spat upon by somebody who thinks wrestling for longer than me automatically makes him better. That the phrase "I'm in three Halls of Fame" means anything but that he was tragically unable to dedicate his soul to one, as I have with REDEFINE. That destroying careers is something to brag about, not something to be ashamed of.
And as an aside, think about that. Your presence in the wrestling world caused it to be deprived of the talents of all of those people. You made wrestling measurably worse by doing what you did.
See, me? I made careers. Sasha Foote was solidified as a main event player when she went blow for blow with me, even when she lost. Jordan Caliban got a lot more respect and legitimacy as a champion when he put on another classic with me, even when he lost. Grayson Shaw, love him or hate him, brought his best to me twice, and proved to the world the caliber of phenomenal young talent this roster has to offer. Johnny Ajax was instantly legitimized as a strong champion when he beat me twice, the only singles defeats I've taken in well over a year.
I made the wrestling business better for my having been in it, and I take great pride in that. If I died tomorrow, REDEFINE would survive and remain strong in great part because of the sacrifices I made for it. Noah Hanson can't say the same. So if he wants to call me "kid"...well, I prefer the opinions of people who added to the business rather than taking from it. He can go on about the "lessons" he's allegedly going to teach me until he's blue in the face, but the fact is, there ain't nothing he's got that I need to learn. I'm proud to be who I am, a cornerstone of my promotion at only 26 years old. Thing is, if I'm this good this young...well, damn, what the hell's in my future?
I don't know, the future's never certain. But what I do know is that whatever happens, I will forever remain on REDEFINE's front line. I will stay a productive soldier for a company I made to be what it is, one that just as much made me what I am today. Noah, "old man", you're running into a war come Saturday night.
If I were you, I'd prepare as such.
